Awful thin springy mattress
Awful mattress- bought for relative to stay over at Christmas- after one night they decided to sleep on the sofa for the other two nights! Avoid you can feel every spring, like sleeping in a sheet of paper!

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Devon Essentials Single Mattress: ''There isn’t a specific timeframe and we couldn’t quote one as we have no control over how long our customers hold them in stock. In general though, as long as the bed base is going to arrive within a small number of weeks rather than months it should be fine to keep it rolled. It’s worth pointing out that regardless of this timeframe the mattress will not look its best until at least 48 hours after unrolling and may even improve further after a short period of actually being used.''

Factors such as how often the mattress is used, whether the user only uses it for sleeping on or whether they sometimes sit on an area(s) of the mattress for prolonged periods other than during the hours when they are sleeping and what sort of base the mattress is placed on can all have as much influence on its performance and longevity as the weight of the user.
For these reasons the real answer to your question is different in almost every case.
As a general guide though, testing for bed bases intended for domestic use is usually to around 18st and we’d expect our mattresses to accommodate similar users as long as all Care Instructions are correctly followed.
The 5 year manufactures guarantee covers for manufacturers faults, it will not cover accidental damage. The 3 year Furniture Care policy covers immediate protection of your product from accidental damage causing visible or structural impairment.

It comes rolled up in recyclable wrapping :) very easy to remove if you’re tall, but may need a second person to hold it still if you’re short. Hope this helps!
