Best Buy this year
I wanted to make some soup that was healthy & to loose a few pounds when I have made it in the past the kitchen has been a disaster area so I looked at all the reviews for soup makers & everyone thought the Morphy Richards was the best. Wow I am really delighted now I just put all my vegetables, lentils & stock in the soup maker & 30 minutes later I am eating my lovely healthy soup with no mess. It really is so much nicer than tinned soup without the additives. One item I have discovered is fresh ginger which I add absolutely delicious thank you.

Sauté Soup Maker
Recommended by a friend and find a whole new world of soup making. Quick and easy. Made leek potato took 21minutes and was smooth and tasty. Just have to beware when sautéing initially as can catch very quickly. Did Stir with wooden spoon but still had to soak machine after. Cleaned off ok. Other than than a handy machine.

So easy to use, no excuse not to have Lovely soup.
Just love this jug, the time of the year when we want a bowl of homemade soup. So easy to use and perfect soup every time.

Good but cleaning requires care.
Makes a good and quick soup. It does tend to burn food to the bottom and the non stick coating not very Efficient. I found it difficult to clean off the burnt on food as the instructions advise care to be taken not to remove the coating.

I bought this several weeks ago, used it many times & happy with it overall but on first use of the sauté everything stuck & it took ages to get it clean, had to be soaked overnight. Sauté function is hopeless so wish I’d bought the cheaper version without.

Makes great soup but.....
We've had our Sauté & Soup Maker for a couple of weeks now and have made 3 delicious soups. Although the soup making is very good we have a couple of concerns about other aspects of the machine. Firstly regarding the electrical connector sited at the top of the jug handle. When lifting the motor/blending unit (lid) for any reason, such as when the cooking cycle is complete, you need to take care to not let any condensation drop in the connector. Similarly, when cleaning the soup maker you have to be careful to keep the connector dry. To get round this issue we are wrapping clingfilm around the connector on the lid/motor unit which helps but this doesn't work on the jug connector which is more important one as this is the female connector which would be harder to dry once wet. Secondly, when using the sautéing function it is difficult to avoid burning material in the bottom of the jug. We used sautéing in our first recipe for around 7 - 8 minutes, well within the maximum time limit, and stirred almost continuously but we still ended up with burnt material in the bottom. We managed to clean off most of the burnt material but, as this was the first time we used it, it was very disappointing and we decided that if we want to sauté in future we'll just use a separate frying pan which makes the purchase of the soup maker with this function pretty pointless. When we made our purchase it was a toss-up between this model and the Total Control Maker. We picked the Sauté & Soup model because the lid is off during the sautéing stage (makes stirring easier). Although we are happy with our purchase, with hindsight, we wouldn't buy it again but would go for the Total Control model instead.
