About this product
Making fresh soup from scratch doesn't have to mean juggling pans and pots, and the Morphy Richards Saute and Soup Maker brings it all together in one clever appliance. With a 1000W motor and 1.6l stainless steel jug, you can saute your onions and garlic first, then add stock and vegetables for proper homemade flavour without the washing up pile. Whether you prefer velvety smooth soups or chunky vegetable broths, the settings let you choose your texture, and you'll have steaming bowls ready in just 25 minutes.
Perfect for batch cooking at the weekend or quick weeknight dinners when you want something warming and wholesome. The 1.6l capacity gives you enough for the family or several portions to freeze for later, so you can cook once and eat twice. The stainless steel build is durable and looks smart on the worktop, and while the jug needs a hand wash, it's straightforward to clean. Backed by a 2-year manufacturer's guarantee, it's built for regular use and takes the fuss out of soup making.
- Power output 1000 watts.
- 1.6 litre capacity.

Lovely tasty soup.
I bought my Soup Maker on recommendation from a friend. I bought the one that sautes but on using the saute option for the first time it left a nasty burn mark on the inside bottom of the Soup Maker. I left it to soak for a day but cannot remove the mark. Very disappointing! I now have to use a frying pan for this which just defeats the object - so more washing up. Apart from this, I am very pleased with my Soup Maker. It makes lovely soup especially the butternut squash recipe, but I make it smooth not chunky as the recipe says. Lovely cold too!

Burnt bottom
I followed the instructions to the letter, but the base of the soupmaker still got burned and I cannot remove it as you cannot scrub the metal. So really disappointed.

Soup making made simple
I’ve made 4 batches of soup so far and the machine works really well. I tend to use the sauté function for celery and onions and then the smooth function for a delicious vegetable soup.

Morphy richards soupmaker
Only used once but was very impressed and will definitely be using a lot The soup was lovely and can only think it will get better with practice It's a little noisy when blending but its only for short bursts I would recommend this item

poor base heating when used alone.
Very difficult to use heating function for onions etc without it burning, even if stirred all the time. I would buy the simpler soup maker next time. It does make good smooth soup.

Great piece of kitchen kit!
Great piece of additional kitchen kit. Easy to use once you’ve you get used to it. Minimises mess as additional blending equipment not required. Just one pot and chopping board to clean at end. Suitable for lots of recipes. Most soups ready in 30 minutes, start to finish. Loved it so much bought one for my elderly in-laws and they are experimenting too!

Thank you for using Q&A
If theyre saying you get a 2 year warranty that should stick otherwise you should be told you have the option to take a extra 12 months at an extra cost which basically its only one anyway and should state this on their adverts and not tell the customer they have it otherwise in my eyes they should pay for the extra 12 months typical insurance scam and bad publicity for Argos
Please dont accept this. Your statutory rights protect you, the length of warranty is meaningless, the product should be of merchantable quality - breaking down after a year is not good enough. I would pursue a refund or replacement or proceed to small claims court. The process is much easier than you would think.
Your appliance comes with a standard one-year warranty, which is covered by the retailer from the date of purchase for the first year. Additionally, we offer an extended warranty option, which is subject to registration. It's important to note that if the product is not registered within 28 days of purchase, in accordance with the terms and conditions, it is not covered.
The full terms of the warranty can be found on the information booklet provided with your Soup Maker at the time of your purchase.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Hi there
