Value for money
As with all electronic equipment we went through all the guidance instructions etc. All systems go after going through the instalment process. Very happy with the’box’ as we would expect.
Stickler
Apart from above problem everything else is fine.
Pleased with purchase and consider good value. However following trying to pair with existing television unable to operate volume with remote control. No joy in contacting manufacturers or on line instructions.

It does what it says
I bought this about a month ago and all seems good so far. We had sky before which the payments were just getting higher n higher. We only have a sky satellite aerial not a TV aerial so was surprised we didn't have to change the aerial.

Better than Humax
Bought this as Humax had cut On Demand services from our existing Humax box. Didn't buy another Humax box out of principal

Great product. Our 2nd one :-)

Good solution to free satellite
I opted out of SKY due to cost and replaced with a freesat box. Controls are different and take time to get used to, but this is a very effective solution and allows both recording solo or adding series links. Picture is excellent

Hello John,
The supplier has advised the following for the Freesat Recordable 2TB 4K TV Box:
"They will not be able to transfer any files to the Freesat Recordable 2TB 4K TV Box. The hard drive can only store programmes that are recorded on the device."
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Ez,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Freesat Recordable 2TB 4K TV Box: I wanted to clarify that it is not normal for the Freesat 4K Box to make any noticeable noises. The box does not contain a fan, and it uses an HDD (hard disk drive) rather than an SSD, so while very slight operational sounds can occur, but loud or unusual noises are not expected.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Ez,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Freesat Recordable 2TB 4K TV Box: I wanted to reassure you regarding the ongoing support for our 4K boxes. We currently have no plans to end support for these devices, and we will continue to provide software updates as well as maintain access to the on-demand players.
Although we do not have a specific timeframe to share, there is nothing to be concerned about, support for the 4K boxes will continue.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Terry,
I can advise the following for the Freesat Recordable 2TB 4K TV Box:
Apologies, this doesn't allow exporting of the recording files.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Hello There.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Freesat Recordable 2TB 4K TV Box.
It is not possible to record from a DVD or VHS player directly to the 2TB 4K Freesat box. The box is designed specifically for recording live TV broadcasts received via satellite and does not support recording from external video sources such as DVD or VHS players.
Thank you for using Q & A.
Box may work with a Sky Q wideband LNB, but both coaxial cables from the LNB must be connected to the box to record multiple channels.
You may need to leave the box connected to both the satellite dish and the internet overnight for initial firmware updates to complete before it works.
If that does not work or if you have an older Freesat box, you would need to change the LNB to a universal one for it to work with the dish.
Which is often a simple DIY job that takes about 15 minutes.
Hello,
Freesat Recordable 2TB 4K TV Box:
From the information available, the Box will work with the Sky Q with existing cables.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Doug,
The supplier has advised the following for the Freesat Recordable 2TB 4K TV Box:
"There has been a removal of certain connected services from Freesat Humax devices, and unfortunately, the search functionality appears to be part of the services affected by this change."
Thank you for using Q&A.
