BaByliss Cosmos Sleek Hair Straightener

Works well for a basic straightening

My experience with this straightener has been mixed. I have fairly curly and frizzy hair, and while the BaByliss Cosmos does a decent job of getting my hair pretty straight, it doesn’t leave it as sleek or smooth as I expected. It works well enough for a basic straightening, but my hair tends to frizz up again throughout the day, and I didn’t get that lasting sleek finish I was hoping for. I also feel like I have to go over sections more than with some other tools I’ve used. Overall, it’s okay for everyday use and worth a 3-star if you want straight hair, but if your focus is sleek, frizz-free results, it might not fully deliver.

Different but worked well

These looked really nice and different to other straighteners I have used. I like that they are small, easy to hold and use. In the box you do get a heat protective mat so can easily put it down. There are 3 heat settings and the straighteners are easy to use. I found that this worked well in my hair, it glider through easily, although felt needed thinner strands for it to be effective. I think the only thing I found strange is not being able to close them, the only thing can do is wrap the mat around it and velcro it to keep them closed. First time ever seen a pair like that. I would recommend them though, they work well and do what I need them to.

Good quality straighteners

I've been impressed with these straighteners. I have very long, thick, wavy hair and these glided through it with no problem. There are multiple heat settings which is good as it means you can protect your hair from heart damage by keeping it on a lower setting.

Great for 4C hair

I have 4C hair and The BaByliss Cosmos Sleek Hair Straightener exceeded my expectations. It heats up quickly, glides smoothly through the hair, and gives a sleek, shiny look without that burning smell. It’s Lightweight and really easy to use, and perfect for taking in my weekend bag. The design feels sturdy and the temperature settings gives great control for different hair types. Overall it’s and excellent straightener that gives salon-quality results at home.

Great results and visibly attractive

I love the colour, very feminine. They have a round tip and a good size power cord so they’re not restrictive. The heat mat is useful to protect my dressing table. I use the highest heat setting for quick results, I’m pleased with the glossy frizz free finish despite my colour damaged hair.

Brilliant hair straighteners, my hair is curly and it straightens it amazing. It leaves your hair shiny and soft. You can turn the temperature up or down which I find is handy! The straighteners are stylish and I would highly recommend to any one who would like to have straight hair.

Great product.

Great product. Really easy to use. Doesnt take up much space. Cools down quicker than anticipated. Its sleek, nice to use. Instructions were easy to follow. I would definitely recommend to all family and friends.

Hair straightener

A great hair straightener. It's light weight, has a swivel long cord. The ironing plates lay flat against each other making hair straightening easier. Has all the features you would expect from a hair straightener such as adjustable temp settings. After using this my hair is straight, smooth and silky soft

Great affordable alternative

I’m genuinely impressed with these especially considering the big price difference compared to my old GHDs. They have three different heat settings, which I really liked as it makes them suitable for different hair types and gives more control. They also heat up very quickly, which is always a bonus when you’re in a rush. One thing to note is that the ends get extremely hot because of the metal casing. I normally hold the ends when styling, but you definitely can’t do that with these. On the flip side, the hot outer housing actually made them great for curling, as the heat on the outside helped set the curls beautifully! A small downside is that you have to press and hold the power button to turn them off. The first time I used them I didn’t realise and thought they had turned off when they hadn’t — so that could be a potential safety issue if someone isn’t aware. They are very lightweight but I feel They don’t feel quite as robust as my GHDs, but for the price they perform impressively well. My curls held lovely, they straightened my hair really effectively too, and overall I was very happy with the results and don’t think they performed any less than my usuals. I didn’t notice much difference in shine as advertised, but to be fair my hair isn’t naturally very shiny anyway. Great value straighteners that do the job well for a fraction of the usual high-end price.

Great for the price

Nice straighteners. They heat up fairly quickly and have 3 heat settings so suitable for all hair types. They came with a heat mat which is a bonus as thats something I always forget to buy. Only alight negative for me is they felt quite bulky. This may be because i have a pixie cut, but I found it quite hard to get to my roots.
