About this product
The Argos Home Josie Single Bunk Bed Frame gives you a practical sleeping solution when two kids share a room or friends stay over. It's a white painted solid wood design that stands up to daily use and bedtime routines. The simple styling works with most bedroom furniture and decor. It sleeps two in a single-bed footprint, so you're not sacrificing floor space for play or storage. Wooden slats support the mattresses without needing a separate base. The fixed ladder stays secure on the right side for safe climbing up and down.
The frame has a safety rail on the top bunk to prevent rolling out during sleep. It must be secured to the wall with brackets for stability, particularly in homes with children. Each bunk supports up to 100kg, so it's suitable for kids aged six and over, as well as adults. Use mattresses no deeper than 16cm on the top bunk to keep the safety rail effective. Self-assembly required, two people recommended for easier handling of the frame pieces.

Arrived 6th February, Son had waited six weeks and guess what? It exceeded our expectations. This product is pure class. Took about 4 hours to put together alone but in the end it’s worth it. Instructions were clear and straightforward. I would recommend.

Great value bunk beds, well crafted, and sturdy.
The bunks arrived in sturdy packaging that was undamaged. The delivery guys kindly carried it into our house as both boxes were heavy enough for a 2 man lift. Once unwrapped it was an easy task to identify the panels and fittings. We found it really useful to label each panel with a sticky note and this speeded up assembly. The diagrams clearly identified each panel, fitting and tools required for each phase of the project. The accuracy of all the machined joints and holes was 100%, spot on. There were a few spare screws at the end and the supplied spacers were very useful in laying out the slats on the bed bases. As others have commented, it would be easier with two people, but even as a 70 year old, I managed it on my own. Make sure you measure the available space - this is a full size bed. Once erected, it felt very stable and the joints are rock solid. The safety rails on the top bunk are excellent. It is incredibly good value for what we hope will be many years of robust use by the grandchildren and visitors. We like the layout; the lower bunk is suitable for anyone of any age, the upper bunk requires a little more agility to climb up and down the ladder. All in all, we are thrilled our purchase.

Perfect bunk for a medium size room
When the bed came in two boxes I was optimistic whether buying this bunk was a good idea. Then unboxing it i thought id made the biggest mistake. There was lots of pieces and I thought it looked flimsy. My husband had the bunk built in 1 hour and 20 minutes. Ive got to say once built the bunk is very sturdy, no creaking and can hold the weight of a 16 and 8 year old. Would definitely buy again if needed!

Yes, you can use a mattress measuring 90x190x24 cm on the bottom bunk. The length and width are a perfect fit for the frame. However, the depth exceeds the recommended maximum of 16 cm, which is a safety requirement for the top bunk only.
