Tag means no lost keys
Haven't used in anger yet. But trial runs very impressive.

Great for child's school bag
I used this to tag my child's school bag when they started to walk to school. If it gets lost we might be able to get it back and I can see roughly where my child is. It's worth checking reviews to understand how it works, as it relies on other Android phones being near by, so there can be quite a large radius if no phone is nearly. But I'm so glad we got it.

Good price, functionality, and pleasant staff
Bought roughly one month ago after reading reviews for an Apple Airtag alternative. The MOTO-TAG works with all android phones. It works from the android find my phone app and also the Motorola tag network. So two ways to locate. Easy to install and set up using the small instruction book and QR code. Once the QR code is scanned the TAG will set its self up with minimal fuss. The TAG can play a tune to help locate when close by. Also the small button on the TAG will activate the master phones camera if needed. The TAG is compatible will Apple Airtag accessories such as key fobs and pouches. The TAG can be synced with multiple Gmail accounts so it's whereabouts can be monitored from other phones. Multiple tags can also be tracked from the same app. 1 year replaceable battery gives peace on mind. Also sufficiently water proof to survive outdoor sports such as paddle boarding and kayaking. I use my tag as a dog tracker when out and about. No pay subscriptions needed and is always online.

Very smart piece of kit, still waiting for UWB!
This Motorola Tag is a device finder for the Android 'Find My Device' ecosystem. It's the exact same size as an Airtag, so you can buy any existing Airtag accessories (e.g. for attaching it to your keys), and because it's integrated into Google's 'Find My Device' network, all Android phones are helping you to locate it (unlike other hardware manufacturers that have their own app that needs to be running in the background at all times, where only other people that have installed the same app are contributing to your device location). The other big plus for me was the fact that 'at some point in the future' Motorola will release a software update that activates UWB finding. When this happens, instead of your UWB-compatible device just saying 'the tag is nearby,' it's instead capable of saying "It's 3 metres diagonally to the left of you". Of course, at that distance you could just ask it to play the beeping noise, but it might be unclear quite where the beeping is coming from. Unfortunately, however, even though Motorola announced back in June of 2024 that UWB would be coming in a later firmware update, only a very small percentage of devices have received that firmware update as of July 2025, for everyone else it is still 'coming soon'. I can't give this five stars when one of the killer features for the higher price has been held back for over a year at this point from general availability.

Best Android AirTag
After some teething issues with Android's Find My Device (now Find Hub), which unfortunately reflected badly on this product, I would highly recommend this product. With the newly activated UWB pinpoint tracking taking it to the next level.

If your phone is using Android 6 and above, and the tag is not registered to anyone in the car, then the Android Find My Device app is designed to send an Unknown Tracker alert if the tag seems to be following people while out of range of the real owner. Search for Android Unknown Tracker Alert to find out more information about the feature.
Hello there,
This Motorola Smart Nano Tag is trackable via Google's Find My Phone feature.
It would not have a way of specifically alerting you to its presence without being registered to your phone.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello,
To attach the Motorola Smart Nano Tag to keys you would need to get a cover for the tag which has a loop on that would attach to a keyring.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hello PhilGJ,
I can advise the following for the Motorola Smart Nano Tag - 1 Pack:
This needs an adapter to convert it to a keyring.
Thanks for using Q & A.
This tag does not use GPS. When the tag is close to you, as you said, it will use bluetooth to connect to your phone. When the tag is far away from your phone, the phones belonging to other members of the public near the tag will automatically hear its bluetooth broadcasts and upload the location of the tag to the Google Find My Device network. You will then be able to see its location. If the tag is not near any Android phones, its location will not update.

Hello Qwery,
From the information we have available, I can advise you can use the Motorola Smart Nano Tag with an iPhone. The Moto Tag is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. However, it’s important to note that while it works with iOS, it does not integrate with Apple’s Find My network. Instead, it uses Bluetooth and can be tracked via the Motorola app.
