Best vacuum ever

Had plenty different brands of vacuums over the years from all the major brands. Had a shark pet duo clean for the last 8 years and it never let me down once, so thought stick with a winning team. Ninja for the kitchen and Shark for the cleaning. Loved the idea of the self emptying and the intelligence of the system so bit the bullet and ordered. Best decision ever, absolutely love it. The intelligence of the system is amazing, you work around the house it speeds up, slows down increasing and decreasing, reading the floor types and the lights change colour as you go. The suction is excellent, and I was never a fan of hoovering hard floors, always got the brush out and pan out but this is amazing. The hoover understands you’re on a hard floor so puts a blue light on the front, effectively like a black light, and if you’ve ever used one of those it , they show every bit of dirt, exactly what happens here and you scoot around picking everything up, currently makes it feel like a game and gets me smiling, not what you expect while cleaning. Self emptying is probably a bit gimmicky and expensive but great, it all just empties into a bigger box that you eventually have to empty in the bin anyway but it does have an attached air freshener which really does work, not sure about cost and how long they work but if not too expensive would use again in the future if reasonable value. Dirt pick up is great on all floor types, tools are all well thought out and solid and the unit is easy to clean. Very happy with the quality and can see it lasting a number of years. Would definitely recommend.

Shark auto clean vacuum

This vacuum is great. Suction on carpet is perfect with the added benefit of boosted suction if you put the vacuum next to the skirting board. Really easy to manoeuvre and the auto clean option means that it never gets filled. My wife really appreciated it as her birthday present. Lots of brownie points 😄ha ha!!!

We have had Dyson Hoovers for as long as we can remember. But this is undoubtedly way ahead in ease of use and flexibility in cleaning.

Brilliant with dog hair

Brilliant little machine. Copes well with dog hair, I have eight dogs and it copes well. It’s easy to take apart to clear any blockage or to clean rollers. I did struggle at first when the tank was overfilled ( my fault) to get it all open to empty into the bin but a quick five minute video on YouTube sorted it out !! It charges quick and battery lasts a while.

Perfect for Pet Owners – Reliable and Much Improve

The new Shark PowerDetect Clean & Empty Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner IP3251UKT is the best so far. One of the biggest issues I had with the older model was the internal steel plate design. It often caused dust and debris to get trapped, restricting airflow and eventually leading to the vacuum losing suction or even stopping altogether. It was frustrating, especially during deeper cleans or when dealing with pet hair. With this new model, Shark has clearly listened to customer feedback. The redesigned internal layout allows dust and debris to pass through much more efficiently, completely eliminating the clogging issue I used to face. Suction remains consistent, and the vacuum doesn’t struggle even when tackling heavier messes. The Clean & Empty feature is another game changer—emptying the bin is now effortless and hygienic, which is perfect for pet owners. Overall performance feels smoother, more reliable, and far more user-friendly. This is a solid upgrade in every sense. If you’ve used the previous generation and were put off by the design flaws, this new version fixes those problems brilliantly. Highly recommended.

Great stick vac- very pleased

Bought this after returning a Halo which was a similar price but unbalanced. The Shark is well balanced not too heavy and excellent suction especially on carpet. Not so good on uneven stone floors. The docking is a bit awkward but once done is great to have it emptied for you with no dust plume. The dust bin must hold a huge amount of dust as I still haven’t emptied yet after 3 weeks. Eventually found the filters and think they will want regular rinsing to keep the suction good. Easy to do under furniture with it “breaking” in the middle to save my back bending over. Overall very pleased with it and would recommend it.

Not what I expected

Bought this hoover as it was recommended for homes with pets. It is not built for multiple dog owners, maybe 1 or 2 small ones but it can't cope with long haired German shepherd dogs of which I have 2. I have to clean the filters and the rollers every time I use it the suction is not brilliant and hair gets trapped. Totally disappointed in it . I gave 2 stars because of the self emptying gadget.

Excellent vacuum

After much research I chose the PowerDetect self emptying vacuum. It has not disappointed me. It's well made and powerful enough for my everyday needs. I gave little consideration to the fact that it bends to go under furniture but this has been a real plus. Love that I don't need to empty it afer every use.

Amazing, does exactly what it says it does. The hinge to be able to get under furniture is great and so practical. 3 different modes to choose from is also perfect for a household with all different flooring.
