Great cheap Internet router for full fibre
Bought this as my expiring ISP offered to extend at same price but why should I when original 24 months included the cost of the router. Should not be paying for the router anymore. Found a full fibre provider (onestream) that encourages using your own box. Save waste every time you change. Box was £38 from Argos, compared with a rental of around £5 per month. Only requires setting up by programming in the credentials that are sent in advance by new ISP. Openreach installed the full fibre to a ONT. Connected this router to it with supplied cable and was running within the hour. No problems with network cable connected devices and wifi so far! Excellent investment and probably cheapest full fibre around at well under £20. Other ISPs may offer reduced rates if you use your own box but you must obtain the line setup to program into this router before use. I opted for 80Mb speed that is adequate for most purposes. Higher speeds are available for a few pounds more. This router will work, in theory, up to 1Gb.

Okay product, but it was second hand not brand new
Router was sold to me unsealed and had clearly been opened and used before as the set up process has been completed and router has custom SSID and admin password was tech savey enough to know how to reset the router to factory settings and was able to set up the device fresh but had clearly been returned and resold

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the TP-Link Archer AX12 AX1500 Dual Band Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Router: Currently, routers do not automatically switch between bands.Currently, such a function is not available either.

Hello Mel.
After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the TP-Link Archer AX12 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 AX1500 Router.
The TP-Link Archer AX12 is a Wi-Fi router, not a modem. It cannot be plugged directly into a BT Master Socket (the main telephone socket for BT broadband in the UK) because the socket requires a device with a built-in DSL modem to decode the internet signal.
To use the Archer AX12 with BT broadband, you’ll need:
A separate DSL modem (e.g., from your ISP), or
A modem-router combo (set to modem/bridge mode).
Then connect:
BT Master Socket → Modem → Archer AX12 (WAN port) → Devices
You may also consider purchasing a DSL modem router (TP-Link offers compatible models). However, we recommend first checking with your internet service provider (ISP) to confirm your broadband type and compatibility requirements.
Thank you for using Q&A.
