About this product
For stairs or doorways that need a barrier without drilling. This pressure fit safety gate squeezes snugly into place (no screws, no damage to walls) and suits openings that fall in that awkward mid-range where fixed gates won't fit. The squeeze and lift handle opens with one hand, which is useful when you're carrying a baby or a basket of washing. A double lock keeps it secure, and it swings both ways for doorways or just one way for the bottom of stairs.
The 4-point pressure fit frame holds firm without any wall fixings, so you can move it between rooms as needed. It arrives assembled and ready to install. The step-over bar creates a proper barrier without taking up too much space in narrower hallways. One-handed opening means you can unlock and swing it open while holding a child, and the double locking system ensures it stays shut when little ones push against it. Extensions are available separately if you need to fit wider openings later on.

Excellent Product
I bought this a few days ago and I am very pleased with how easy it was to assemble. It is a secure safety gate and does the job of keeping my dog out of my bedroom. He is an anxious dog and would scratch at my bedroom door repeatedly, when it was closed, but he doesn't scratch at the safety gate as he can see into the bedroom and that seems to give him some reassurance that I am not too far away. He did bang against it to see if he could move it, but the gate is strong and stable and he gave up after a couple of minutes.

The Munchkin Lindam Easy Fit plus Deluxe Safety Gate fits openings from 76cm to 82cm, or up to 117cm with the use of separate extensions (sold separately), so you will need to use separate extensions for an 86cm gap; The distance between the end of the pressure fit screw and the gate depends on how wide you are setting the screws to reach the width of the gap.
