About this product
The Tala cooks blow torch is ideal for creme brulees, caramelised sugar, skinned peppers and lemon meringue pies. The temperature for the blowtorch is 1300C / 2450F. The burning time is between 45 - 60 minutes, making it perfect for everyday use. The volume is 22ml Butane. Use only purified clean Butane.

Very flexible use
I purchased this torch to replace the torch I had for 20 year old and had stopped working. The Tala Blow Torch is easy to use and is very efficient allowing very variable power adjustment.

Not safe.
After you refill it it shoots gas when turned on but will not ignite. You have to ensure you slightly underfill it otherwise it will not work. Also it does not regulate itself well and sometimes the flame increases on its own without being adjusted. Probably going to return mine.

Great for lighting wood burners, bbq, or gas cookers, easy to light up, but care must be taken as it does not automatically shut off again, you need to turn the knob to switch off again, not recommended for persons under 18 for this reason

No Gas Included
Easy to use, compact and handy for the caramelising of the sugar on a caramel etc., However, in the product details it clearly stated that gas was included, but it was not. Had I known this, I would have made sure to purchase the gas at the same time. This detail should be corrected and made clearer on the product details section.

Does the job !
I have wanted one of these for a while. So far only used to melt a cheese topping instead of putting under the grill. Also made lighting the barbecue much easier than using several matches!

Works very well and gets the job done! It doesn’t have a fine adjustment for the flame, but honestly, it’s not really necessary for most uses.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Tala Blow Torch.
The filling port on the torch is recessed slightly so we would suggest opting for a long nozzle to make filling easier.
