I can confirm you can use two PowerA licensed Nintendo Switch wired controllers at the same time on a Nintendo Switch. The console supports multiple wired controllers simultaneously, and it will display on-screen notifications indicating which USB channel each controller is connected too.

Yes. I just tried two wired controllers in both USBs on mario kart 8 and it worked. You can also use wireless controllers to make up the other two controller inputs. The switch oled and original switch have two USBs, so a maximum of two wired inputs. Please note, switch mini has no dock compatibility, so no wired controller options that i'm aware of.

Yes, the controller can only use USB-A type connections which are found on dock only.

That's the only mode you can use this controller. It doesn't work otherwise.
