I bought this 3 weeks ago and after assembling it, I couldn’t adjust the height lever, so I contacted the company who got back to me ASAP, with a solution, which remedied the problem and away it went. Easy to use - very pleased.

Tricky for a novice user to get started
Plus: assembly instructions are included. Minus: the font is so tiny, and the instructions are so badly laid out, that it takes about 5x longer to set up initially than it should. It's not possible to see the images at the same time as reading the text that applies to them. Nor is there any outline of technique for successful use. It shouldn't be beyond the wit of Flymo to provide a QR code linking to their website with a decent set of instructions and / or videos, or if nothing else to rethink the layout of the manual. I bought this for my 80-something father off the back of reasonably glowing and consistent reviews across various media outlets, but had to set it up for him because it was just too awkward for older hands. I regularly use professional strimmers, without issue, so it's not like I don't know which way is up. Side note: there's a hook for controlling the power cable, but it's not finished smoothly enough, so the cable's already slightly abraded after one use. There's a really good bit of kit in here, but it's struggling to get out. As the only model in this approximate price range with this functionality, it's an easy decision to buy, but a trickier machine to learn.
