Flymo disappointment
I pick up from Argos Sunday 4 July as a replacement for my old Flymo grass trimmer which had worked and performed well for 10 years. A direct replacement to me was an easy decision. What a mistaker to maker. The start lever needs constant pressure to keep the motor running so much so that after a minute or so I had to release it and shake my hand. This problem continued while using and was more so when traversing back and forth. Lastly any small nock will dislodge the plant guard.

Cuts well
Just used for the first time. Good cutter but a bit heavy after holding for a bit. Double cable is auto feed but after about 10 minutes the cables never fed out when I opened the case they were tangled together ( only happened the once) was expecting better from a Flynn.

Just used for 1st time, excellent strimmer, does the job well, a bit heavy and cumbersome, could do with a trigger lock while in use otherwise ok😊👍

Saga of over heating trimmers
Returned one because it was cutting out of motor after 15 secs. Tried a second one after returning the first one.,this was even worse, it not only overheated it was actually smoking. That was in was the last straw. I returned the second trimmer and I got the same good service off the staff, she said she could still smell the over heating. Two trimmers in three days. I know Argos does not deal in seconds but is it just bad luck on my part C

The replacement spool and line for this product is FLY021, we do not offer just a replacement trimmer line within our range without the spool. We do not suggest using alternate trimmer lines with our product as we cannot guarantee that they will work as they will not have been tested.''
