Great little gadget
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So compact and easy to store. Battery lasted long enough to cover my grass area. Saves me so much time because I just set up and it went. It went round my ornaments with ease

Easy setup, quiet operation, app control, and reliable automatic mowing for small gardens up to 400m².
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested the Yard Force MB400 robotic lawnmower and was genuinely impressed with its performance. Setup was simple, and connecting it to the app was quick and straightforward. Once running, it navigated my garden efficiently, cutting the grass evenly and leaving the lawn looking neat and well-maintained. I also recorded a video of the mower in action, and it was great to see how smoothly it moved around obstacles and covered the mowing area. One of my favorite features is how quiet it is compared to a traditional lawnmower, allowing it to work without causing much disturbance. The automatic charging function is also very convenient, as it returns to the charging station on its own when needed. Overall, the MB400 is a reliable, user-friendly, and time-saving solution for anyone with a small garden who wants a consistently tidy lawn with minimal effort.

One job less!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a brilliant piece of gardening kit for low maintenance lawns. Comes with detailed set up instructions, boundary wire to protect your flowerbeds and keep it off paths etc as well as the pegs to pin the boundary line in place, charging dock with extension cable and roof/garage included to protect it in bad weather. I needed to cut my grass with the usual mower initially as it had for fairly long and didn't fancy lots of long loose grass cuttings on my lawn. It also took me a few goes to place the boundary line as it kept going slack in places (a me issue not the product). I may sink the wire into the ground eventually as I'm concerned it may be a bit of a trip hazard but we shall see. After an hour and a few trial goes I managed to get it working. It cuts the grass evenly and left it looking neat and tidy, even on minor dips in the lawn. I'm overall pleased with it as its saved me a job every week, especially for a hay-fever sufferer.

Excellent robotic mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Yardforce robotic mower is very good itâs straight forward to set up and use, it runs a lot quieter than I thought it would! Itâs cuts the lawn very neatly and evenly even though I have some uneven ground in places, itâs great to be able to leave it to do its job safely, the battery life is also very good as when I returned it to charge it still had battery use so no stopping through to have to recharge! I think this would be a great purchase for anybody looking to buy a robotic mower

It works well (when it works!)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to get this mower as weâd seen one recently at a wedding venue! ADHD stopped me reading the instructions so attempted to set it up without them which is a no go. The garage had to be COMPLETELY flat or it wonât find it. I canât be the only person in the world without a flat garden? Eventually followed the instructions and we had go! I wasnât sure which grass height it was as it just says âmidâ etc but went for between short and medium and it started cutting. Was very exciting- for all of 5 minutes because it cut the boundary wire. No worries? It comes with a few spare connectors in case this happens so fixes it and off we went. I went round the whole boundary wire again because if made it too loose which had caused it to cut. User error. A few days later, itâs out running on automatic when it cuts the wire, again! Well this is frustrating but we fix again and carry on. Have been trying to use it again and just constantly says âno signal detectedâ so the mower canât find the garage. When I try manually it just spins around then stops. Found out it had somehow lifted the wire and cut it..again! Third time itâs cut the wire which is all the connectors now used. Should be back up and running again but canât connect it on the app or manually- it wonât find home to go anywhere. I had a few days of it where it was working by itself with no issues, it doesnât seem to go ins l any patterns and definitely missed some spots but overall was better than having to lug the mower out and push it round- especially in this heat. This mower has caused nothing but stress (apart from the approx 5 hours itâs worked over a few weeks)

It's okay for the money but could be better.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My honest review... I found installation of the product fairly easy, laying the boundary wire was simple enough although took a bit of time to ensure it wasn't slack in areas The app was simple enough to set up although did struggle initially controlling the robot from the device and had to consistently use the manual buttons. As for the mower itself it's easy to controll once up and running and fairy quiet when in use. Personally though I don't like the randomness of the cutting and found it is quite time consuming to cut all the grass evenly all over. My children loved watching it drive round the garden though đ¤Ł

Saves time being able to maintain the lawn automatically...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been really impressed with the Yard Force Robotic Mower 400. It was straightforward to setup, runs fairly quietly ,and keeps the lawn looking consistently neat without any effort. The cut quality is excellent, and it handles the garden reliably even with uneven areas and edges. One of the best things is how much time it saves- being able to leave it to maintain the lawn automatically is a huge bonus. The battery life is good, it returned to charge without issue at 28% so not to run out and then returns to work once charged. Overall, a fantastic investment for anyone wanting a well-maintained lawn with minimal work. Highly Recommended!

Great for flat, manicured lawns
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Surprisingly easy to set up and genuinely intuitive to use, the Yard Force MB400 App Controlled Robotic Lawnmower is a delight on flat, well-kept lawns but struggles once the terrain gets uneven or cluttered. The docking base and cabling are simple to install and the kit includes plenty of boundary wire and pegs. However, laying the wire is time consuming - expect a lot of bending, plenty of pegging for testing, and consider burying the wire for long-term reliability to stop tyres catching and pulling it up. Youâll also need a weatherproof outdoor power supply installed by a qualified electrician or a nearby shed feed, so plan that into the job. The app and scheduling are straightforward and make regular mowing effortless once youâve dialled in the boundary. Do a few supervised runs first because the mower uses collision sensing only; it learns by bumping into things rather than detecting them in advance. That means gardens with dips, narrow corridors, lots of obstacles or loose items will cause more hassle than benefit - the MB400 is built for well manicured, flatter lawns rather than rough, natural terrain. Practical downsides to bear in mind: Bluetooth limits control to when youâre nearby, it will happily run through pet mess or chew up small toys if youâre not diligent about clearing the lawn, and while it comes with spare blades and a boundary repair kit, longterm durability is still unproven. If the boundary wire breaks underground, finding the fault could prove tedious. In my uneven garden it simply couldnât cope without major re-landscaping. Overall, for a pampered, level lawn this mower is a brilliant timesaver and earns strong marks for ease of use and value (especially at its price point). For tougher, more natural gardens youâd be better off looking at a higher spec model with GPS or lidar. đŁđĽđ˘đŚ â Easy setup - intuitive app and simple docking installation. â Complete kit - plenty of boundary wire, pegs, spare blades, and a repair kit. â Automatic scheduling - app makes regular mowing effortless once boundaries are set. â Quiet and low maintenance - ideal for regular upkeep on neat lawns. â Cost effective for pampered lawns - saves time compared with manual mowing. đđ˘đĄđŚ â Collision only navigation - no GPS or lidar, so it 'learns' by bumping into obstacles. â Struggles on uneven or cluttered lawns - dips, narrow corridors, brambles and rough terrain cause problems. â Boundary wire is time consuming - laying, pegging and burying takes effort; tyres can pull up loose wire. â Requires outdoor power supply - needs a weatherproof socket (IP65) or shed feed installed by an electrician. â Bluetooth only - control and monitoring work only when youâre nearby. â Not pet/toy friendly - will run through pet mess and chew small toys if not removed beforehand so expect extra cleaning. â Maintenance caveats - longterm durability unproven; locating underground wire breaks would be tedious.

Cuts grass well eventually, but difficult setup, poor connectivity, and constant spinning issues make it frustrating to use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted the lawnmower for my honest review. Set up was more complicated than expected, you have to pin boundary string/wire around the area roughly 30cm from any walls or edges. This took quite a bit of time and effort, in an addition it regularly struggled to connect and would spin in 360 instead of mowing. That said, once everything was working it did actually cut the grass really well and left a neat finish. The concept is great, but the software/set up definitely needs improvement to make the process much smoother.

Difficult to setup but once complete, works well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Difficult to setup the product, instructions were not clear and were too basic, there needed to be more information about how to actually set it up. The wire was fine in setting up for the tracking of the product but at first the mower just wanted to follow the line and not go randomly. After watching a few videos online, we managed to get the mower going around the garden. It was nice to have the different height settings for the cutters and the protective shield should you walk in front of it with a clear stop button for emergencies. The app is very temperamental and as soon as the mower leaves the dock, it loses connection. However the idea of having it go out on a sequence which you can set on which days and times really does help and takes one thing off the home to do list.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A
I have this mower when it was on offer in Aldi for 199. No you cant instruct it to mow separate areas. It will just go out at the scheduled time and mow within the boundary wire you lay. If youve laid wire as two separate contained areas youll need to move the robot into that area. If youve laid the boundary wire as one complete area itll
mow within that complete area. Does the job well, would recommend.
Hi There,
Yard Force MB400 Robotic Cordless Lawnmower
Having checked the manual I can see you can instruct the mower to mow different areas at different times.
Thanks for using Q and A.
