Good machine
I have bought this machine a month ago and so far it's proving to be a good purchase. 8kg capacity works fine for our household (2 kids and 2 grownups), definitely better on fabrics than our last vented dryer, cycle time was a bit of a worry on 1st run, but it adjusts it through the cycle. Can't say anything about power consumption, haven't done the numbers yet but technically it should be more efficient. SmartThings connectivity, in my opinion, is just unnecessary gimmick. But, we are in 2026. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and with whole process from buying to delivery with Argos. Top job.

I bought this 3 weeks ago. I'm pleased that it's so smart to provide time of the circle depending on the weight of the laundry. I would say it's loud, but less than washing machine. And it sends me notifications when the circle is done)

Exceeded my expectations
Needing a new tumble drier I was unsure whether to go with a heat pump machine as only ever had a condenser drier before. Oh my goodness I love this machine, ignore the original timer on display it actually dries far quicker than displayed, infact it dries quicker than my old condenser machine. It's lovely looking, very quiet when on and plays a tune to let you know its finished. I highly recommend this machine. I rarely leave reviews but I feel the need to express how impressed I am. Couldn't be happier

Having checked I can see this machine can be used without WIFI however you wont be able to use the SmartThings app unless connected to the WIFI.

The Samsung DV80CGC0B0AEEU 8KG Heat Pump Tumble Dryer - White has smart connectivity and 18 drying programmes instead of 14. The drying time for a full cotton load is slightly quicker 190 mins compared with 200mins.
