The Akio Guest Bed Frame gives you flexible sleeping space without taking up a full bedroom. It's a trundle design that works as a compact day bed most of the time, then wheels out to sleep two people when guests stay over. The natural wooden finish suits most bedroom styles and keeps things simple. Wooden slats are included, so you just need to add your own mattresses. It's suitable for everyday use, so it'll handle regular guest visits without any fuss.
The trundle section rolls out smoothly when you need it and tucks away underneath when you don't. There's no storage built in, so the focus stays on sleeping space rather than clutter. The wooden frame keeps it sturdy, with a maximum user weight of 100kg on the main bed. Self-assembly's needed, and you'll want two people for that to make it easier. Uniquely flexible design
Unique design gives this the 4 stars. Flexible bed frame can be used as single, double, or king!! (if you buy the king size version) No mattresses included. And no room to store the spare below. Pullout section is attached so can't be separated. So if you want the option of 2 single beds this is NOT the bed for you. Wood quality not terrible but also not fabulous. We bought camping mattresses to test the concept and discovered the huge bonus of being able to choose the width of the bed.... It will take two full size single mattresses side by side but then pushes back to one single or could be used with one "proper" double mattress. Perfect for a spare room used infrequently

Good value for the price
Bought on offer so very good value. It did take 2 people a few hours to build but doable. The wood pieces are slightly different shades but it is a cheaper piece of furniture so we weren’t too bothered for a spare. We haven’t slept on yet but seems perfectly stable and fit for purpose!

Badly engineered frame
I bought this bed as a guest bed for my spare bedroom. After the first use, with two guests sleeping on it, the bar holding the structure in the middle broke. The whole frame is made of wood, which is too weak to hold two single mattresses together.. it would have been sturdier if it was made in metal.

I can advise the Habitat Akio Guest Bed Frame - Natural has a maximum user weight of 100Kg. As this bed takes 2 adults it will be 100Kg each person.

The Habitat Akio Guest Bed Frame - Natural has a clearance of approximately 14cm from the floor; While it is not designed to store the mattresses underneath the bedframe, they may fit if they are less than 14cm in depth.

The Habitat Akio Guest Bed Frame 2 mattresses' can only be used in the way they are displayed on photo number 3.
The guest bed is supposed to be used with the 2 mattresses acting as 1 large mattress like a normal Bed with the headboard at the top of the bed. Giving the guest exit either side of the bed.
