Used it as a sugar thermometer, seems to work fine. Has to unscrew the back and put in a piece of card because the battery was loose

Easy to use great for checking the roast us cooked through.

Very useful tool for cooking roast meats.
I bought this thermometer to cook an expensive prime rib roast. It was fast and responsive and gave me the temperature of the cooked joint. It has handy little reference notes on the sheath, with recommended temperature readings for rare, medium rare and well done joints. One has to open the oven of course throughout the cooking process to insert the needle into the centre of the neat in order to get the temperature reading. Useful tool I found.

Excellent value for money
As a novice cook I wanted to make sure I did the meat correctly so I decided to buy a thermometer. Compared to other products this one seemed well priced and I did worry that it might be just "cheap and cheerful" but it turned out to be an excellent product. Easy to use, instant temperature display and very robust.

Hi, Thanks for reply, the OXO Meat Thermometer did not come with a Manual, only a small leaflet that made no mention of cleaning the Thermometer.
The Thermometer will get bacteria on it when i test it on undercooked Chicken etc. I cant see a wipe with a cloth making it safe.
Hello Les, thank you for approaching us! As outlined in the product manual, the digital head should not be washed or exposed to water, as moisture can affect the internal mechanism. Only the stainless‑steel probe should be cleaned directly; the rest of the unit should be wiped with a damp cloth. Nevertheless, we encourage you to contact our Customer Support Team at OXO_Support@helenoftroy.eu so that they can advise you on the issue.
Best regards,

Hello Ni,
Thank you for your question. The OXO Softworks Digital Thermometer is designed to provide quick and accurate measurements for cooked meat, with a temperature range of 30 to 150°C (-22 to 302°F). This range makes it suitable for measuring the temperature of heating oil for frying, as typical frying temperatures fall within this range.
However, please note that it is not recommended to use the thermometer in very warm oil or other fat liquids, as it may damage the surface.
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out to us at OXO_Support@helenoftroy.eu or send us a direct message on Instagram at OXO.Europe.
