Essential Tool
I finally bought one of these because, through what I now know to be an excess of caution, I was consistently overcooking chicken breasts etc in the Air Fryer. But not since I started using this. It's easy to use and clean and appears to be well made. You can swap between C and F and the neat little holder gives two sets of recommended internal temperatures for various foods. The "Chef" ones on one side and the USDA (US Department of Agriculture) ones on the other, the latter being higher.

Hello Ni,
Thank you for your question. The OXO Softworks Digital Thermometer is designed to provide quick and accurate measurements for cooked meat, with a temperature range of 30 to 150°C (-22 to 302°F). This range makes it suitable for measuring the temperature of heating oil for frying, as typical frying temperatures fall within this range.
However, please note that it is not recommended to use the thermometer in very warm oil or other fat liquids, as it may damage the surface.
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out to us at OXO_Support@helenoftroy.eu or send us a direct message on Instagram at OXO.Europe.
