Smart looking and works well
This is my 2nd purchase as my old Marella jug looked a bit tired. Was very pleased with the appearance, but not keen on removing lid to fill it up - my old jug had an opening and after using it up again during our camping trip, I had a few moments when I started to fill up without removing the lid. Not a problem, but it took some time of getting used to. In overall it's a good product and worth the money. Definitely not the same quality/build as my old jug, plastic feels a bit thinner, but does the job.

Stop endless buying of 5L water bottles
We were buying big water bottles several times a month to refill bottles and have water in the house because we don't drink unfiltered tap water, so this has removed a small purchase from our grocery shopping. It was easy to buy multiple filters while they were on sale; however we should have waited because better offers came up later and now we have a 12 pack that will last us for the year. So far, really happy with the product, nothing to complain about, and it keeps us right on when we need to change the filters.

The worst Brita Product
I bought this replacement jug a month or so ago. It looked the same as my original but it is an inferior product. The lid is no longer hinged and when removed it isn’t easy to replace

Capacity is only 1 litre of filtered water
Does the job just fine, but beware it only holds 1 litre of filtered water. The whole jug may be 2.4l but the upper half is the pre-filter reservoir. I fear the hard clear plastic construction may crack eventually but I’m hoping being Brita it will be decent quality and will last OK. Happy enough at £15 on sale. OK for a single person but may need regular refilling for a family, which may shorten the life of the jug as the lid needs pulling off to refill.

filter cartridge size
Previously I had a Brita jug, having Brita Maxtra cartridge. I have left some spare cartridges, but using new jug I have realized that its Maxtra Pro cartidge is not compatible with the old Maxtra fiter. What to do with old unused, unopened Maxtra filters, is it possible to change to usable Maxtra Pro? Thank you, Ivan Sugar

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the BRITA Aluna Water Filter Jug White 2.4L.
The Aluna jug comes with one MAXTRA PRO cartridge. Additional cartridges can be bought in boxes of 3 or 6.
If you usually prefer to drink cold water and live in an area with soft to medium tap water, we recommend the MAXTRA PRO PURE PERFORMANCE filter.
If you prefer tea, coffee, hot water or if the tap water in your home is hard to very hard, then the MAXTRA PRO LIMESCALE EXPERT filter is the right choice for you
