The four stage filtration system combines natural activated carbon from coconut shells with ion exchanger pearls to deliver reliably cleaner water, while the BRITA Memo indicator reminds you when it's time to change the cartridge after four weeks of use. Made from durable plastic, the jug fits neatly in most fridge doors at 25.8cm high and 10.5cm deep, and it's dishwasher safe except for the indicator, making cleanup straightforward. It comes with one MAXTRA PRO cartridge to get you started, and there's a two year parts guarantee for extra peace of mind.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the BRITA Marella Water Filter Jug Blue 2.4L: In order for the cartridge to perform effectively all contents need to be fully hydrated with water and any air bubbles need to be released. In order to do this please follow the below steps.
-Wash the jug thoroughly, taking care not to get water on the electronic indicator.
- Half fill your kitchen sink or a deep bowl with cold water and no detergent.
-Give the cartridge a good shake from side to side under water to remove any excess air.
- Remove cartridge from water and firmly insert into jug funnel.
-Fill the funnel with cold tap water and allow to filter through, discard the filtered water.
-Repeat last step
- Reset electronic indicator on top of jug – please see next page for indicator types.
- Your water is now ready to enjoy.
