About this product
Keep fresh, great tasting filtered water chilled and within easy reach with this slim BRITA carafe. The compact design slips neatly into most fridge doors, while the MicroDisc PureTaste Technology works to reduce chlorine and other taste affecting substances, leaving in essential minerals. With 0.8L filtered water capacity and 1.3L total capacity, there's plenty for your morning coffee, afternoon tea, or water bottles before the day starts.
The durable plastic jug comes with a cartridge replacement indicator that shows when a fresh filter's needed. Dishwasher safe apart from the lid for easy cleaning, and each MicroDisc filter handles up to 150 l. One BRITA MicroDisc cartridge's included in the box, with replacement filters needing a quick pre soak. Measuring 30cm high and 10.5cm wide, the slim profile makes the most of compact fridge spaces. Covered by a two year parts guarantee.

Not glass but works well.
Although I had expected this to be made out of glass due to the price, I am happy with the design and overall look plus it fits in my fridge door perfectly. As for filtration, i'd say the water tastes a little smoother so it is working.

I’ve had this since just before Christmas, it’s lovely to have cold fresh water on hand. Though I must admit I was always happy to drink tap water but this just feels extra fresh. Only moan will be that sometimes the water doesn’t always go through the filter quite so quickly, I do follow the instructions!

Bought this a few months ago and very impressed. Size of approximately 2ltr bottle so fits into our fridge door well. Very quick filtering water in comparison to previous jugs we have used. Looks nice too! Hubby has noticed there is a good difference in taste and has been drinking more water because of it.

Unfortunately, the carafe would not fit into the door tray, it was too wide. Therefore, I had to return it.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for BRITA Water Filter Carafe White 1.3L.
The BRITA filter is designed to be used with municipally treated tap water. We would not recommend it’s used with desalinated water.

I can advise that the BRITA Water Filter Carafe White 1.3L can reduce limescale in water, however, it cannot completely remove calcium and magnesium which are components of limescale build up.

"As long as the cartridge has been prepared correctly, water should filter through the filter into the bottom chamber within a minute or two."
