This is a great mandolin at a great price. I love all Joseph Joseph kitchenware and this is no exception. It stores neatly with the blade covered. Just don’t try and use it without the holding device! That blade is sharp

Okay not the best
It’s okay. I have a job to get anything to stick to the teeth which defeats the object. But I wouldn’t chance not using the green gripper. It could be a dangerous tool. But I think it just takes time and practice.

Fantastic tool
This thing is AMAZING. I am not a kitchen gadget person, but I am questioning why it took so long to get one of these. For the price and size this is perfect, it is small so stores easily. Make sure you use the guard! It's insanely sharp. I sliced up two swedes and a celeriac in under a minute, no joke. This thing is fantastic!

Having now purcased one of these I can categorically say that there are NOT three cutting thicknesses, just the one. Slices are approximately 2-3mm thick and can be varied very slightly by the amount of pressure applied.
