Fast and Great for Pictures
My first A3 printer and I'm really impressed with its A3 photo printing. Plus for normal A4 prints, time to first page is much better that I expected. As of now, nothing to fault.

It was difficult to understand if you could print or scan in A3 format with most printers this printer definitely does both , suitable for smaller architectural drawings

The perfect A3 copier, scanner and printer
I bought this Brother machine because my experience with Brother has been very good. My small office set up already had an A4 Brother mono laser copier, scanner, printer, and an A4 Brother colour laser printer, and Brother has impressed me. The work I do often requires A3 prints, which I have had to outsource but it has become increasingly costly and difficult to get this done. I decided that I just had to ut my losses and get an A3 colour printer to be efficient and effective. I spotted the Brother MFC-J6540DWE and my only reservation was that it relied on inkjet rather than laser. However, a laser A3 colour printer was very bulky, expensive to run, and not really suitable for my setup. I had given inkjet printers a wide berth for many years because the nozzles easily clog up and from the start always seem to leave streaks and missing a few dots. Not a problem with this Brother machine though! It is fast, very fast, at punching out clear, crisp A3 and A4 documents. The A3 scanner was a bonus for me, but now I have it, it is so useful I wonder how I managed without it. The footprint for the machine may not suit everyone but in my opinion, it fits comfortably to one side of my desk without causing any issues of clutter for me. Setting up was easy, although it pays to take your time to familiarise yourself on what you have to do to get things right first time. I read one review commented that the output was not well collected but I have had no problems at all with collating a stack of printed documents. The automatic document feeder makes scanning A4 AND A3 documents a breeze - literally, with a very fast scan time and perfect alignment of images without that annoying skew that some document feeders seem keen to do with slightly misfed pages.

Brill printing
This is my third Brother printer, have always been happy with results, I do a lot of enlarging small print stuff, easy to do good results, I print pictures and photos, good results, A3 facility and being able to copy onto card makes this an ideal printer

Bulky, but very happy with it!
I bought the bigger one for the A3 feature, which I’m yet to use. But this has been a breath of fresh air after the little cheap printer I was constantly fighting with before. Once set up, it’s worked a dream, with excellent print quality. It is pretty huge, though, so if for home use be sure you’ve a large and sturdy enough place for it!

A really nice A3 printer
This printer replaces a previous A3 printer that stopped working. It has proved to be an excellent replacement - very fast, very easy to set up and allows full A3 scans. The scheme for ink replacement seems a really economic and effective way to buy excellent quality ink - thankfully gone are the days of cheapo inks that often don’t work! My only complaint is that whilst it prints double sided it doesn’t scan double sided.

Not a bad printer
I bought this machine because my Epson had expired. Not as nice as the Epson but does the job and is the cheapest A3 machine on the market. If you are looking for a low use low cost A3 printer this is it.

Great printer
I use this for work as I need big paper, and it does the job perfectly. It's very quick and scans beautifully too. Can't speak for the fax utilities as I don't use it, but the printer, copier and scanner utilities are high quality
