Works as described but..
This egg boiler works very well, give soft boiled eggs 2 minutes longer to cook the white. The reason for 4 stars is, the end timer is very quiet and the side handles are too small. When you're eggs have boiled, the steam hits your hands when lifting off the lid and the tray with the eggs on. It is possible to steam burn you're hands. I know I could wait for the steam to cool, but I like to put the eggs in ice water asap.

Good steamer but fiddly lid.
The egg cooker is simple to use. Select the require time needed to stream the eggs which is displayed on the front. Only negative is the lid is fiddly to remove. When removing the lid it often catches the egg tray as well. Its also very hot and so requires a oven mitt to remove lid.

Reliable and efficient
Found the product to be utterly reliable and accurate as to timing whether boiling or poaching eggs. Used the poacher to create a child sized omelette with success. Instructions are clear and well laid out.

To poach eggs with this cooker, follow these steps:
1) Ensure the cooker is off and unplugged. Place it on a clean, dry, stable surface.
2) Remove the lid, egg tray, and egg poachers from the cooker.
3) Fill the measuring cup with cold water (80 ml) and pour it onto the heating plate.
4) Lightly coat the egg poacher with oil or butter. Break one egg into each poacher.
5) Place the egg tray onto the cooker, then the egg poacher on top of the tray. Close the lid.
6) Plug in and switch on the cooker.
7) Press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds until the digital screen lights up.
8) Use the +/- buttons to set the cooking time for poached eggs (approx. 7 minutes).
9) Allow the eggs to cook. The timer will beep 5 times when finished and then switch off automatically.
10) Remove the lid carefully (steam will escape). Use a heat-resistant plastic or wooden spatula to remove the poached eggs immediately to prevent overcooking.

Hey Fred,
I can advise you would whisk together your eggs and any other ingredients and pour them onto the black plate to cook.
