Bought this a couple of weeks ago as my router signal was poor to my ring doorbell and camera at front of house and wasn’t even reaching my car(needed for software updates to sat nav). All 3 now connect with a pretty good signal

Works well for me!
Some people have had trouble setting this up, but I have to say it was fine for me just plugged in and paired with WPS. This was to replace a very old BT extender which gave up. Signal not quite as strong as my old one, but it works okay. Use it to extend WiFi to our garden room. Easy to control if needed with the app; but I simply leave it plugged in and let it do its thing! I have programmed it in the app to turn off at night when it’s not needed. The ideal would have been a mesh system but did not want the hassle of setting that up, so this extender is a cheap and easy way to get WiFi to garden room; but of course, have to select it to pick up the signal. The main difficulty was connecting all the devices and phones to the extender and entering the password; amazing how many different devices one has these days.

Hi Cowa,
Yes, the RE200 Wi-Fi booster requires a separate power outlet to function. You'll need to plug it into an electrical socket for it to extend your Wi-Fi coverage effectively.

Hello Charles,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the TP-Link RE200 AC750 Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender&Booster: Yes! The TP‑Link RE200 will work perfectly with Sky Fibre broadband—and it offers two straightforward ways to integrate:
- Option 1: Use RE200 as a Wi‑Fi Extender
Plug the RE200 into a power outlet within range of your Sky Hub’s wireless signal.
Connect to the RE200 via Web browser by following the installation guide and configure it to extend your Sky Wi‑Fi network.
It will boost your wireless coverage at home without any cable needed.
This setup is simple, reliable, and doesn't require you to touch your Sky Hub's settings.
- Option 2: Use RE200 as a Wireless Access Point
Connect the RE200’s Ethernet port to a LAN port on your Sky Hub.
Set the RE200 to AP Mode via its web interface or Tether app.
This converts the RE200 into a wired access point, creating a new Wi‑Fi zone with strong signal—while using your Sky Hub as the main router.
This avoids any extended setup complications with the hub and provides faster, cable-backed wireless performance.

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the TP-Link RE200 AC750 Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender&Booster: Yes — the TP‑Link RE200 does include a single Ethernet port (RJ45), but there are some important details to note:
- Ethernet Port & Its Use
The port supports 10/100 Mbps (Fast Ethernet), not gigabit speeds.
You can use it in two main modes:
Extender (default): connect your wired device (e.g., PC, smart TV, game console) to the port to access the extended Wi‑Fi signal
Access Point: configure the unit in AP mode, plug in an Ethernet cable from your router into the RE200, and it will create a new wireless network.
