Customers Say
The Philips PureProtect 3200 Series Air Purifier is highly effective at reducing dust, pet dander, allergens, and odors. It's quiet, energy-efficient, app-controlled, and ideal for allergy sufferers, though it's large and replacement filters are costly.

Best I've found for Pet Dander
If you have Pets, and your house fills with dust and Pet dander/hair., this Air Purifier is for you. I previously tried an Air purifier that cost 3 times more, from a brand beginning with D, and that was abysmal when compared to this Philips Air Purifier. The D-Branded Air Purifier didn't collect any Pet dander/hair despite its claims, where as my Philips truly does collect the pet dander and greatly reduces dust in the house.

Seems to improve air purity and is almost silent
Just trying it out on different settings. Initial impressions are that it is very very quiet in sleep mode and I feel that I am getting less allergy reactions than before I started using the machine. So far so good.

Going well
Purifier working well. 3 weeks on Air seems lighter than before. When dust or burning toast it quickly sorts it. Use downstairs day and the bedroom at night. Instructions seemed to say set it up first, then switch off, restart and connect to internet. However it had problems with no internet icon and not able to connect. I needed to do a hard reset and then all OK.

Effective from day one!
Really happy with this air purifier - chose it after doing some research on Which? and it’s definitely doing the job. We’re using in our bedroom to help with allergies and from the start it’s making a big difference, helping to sleep much better. Was easy to set up and is quiet, plus the ability to control remotely via the app is great. Also gives clear performance analysis and filter life information. It was good value compared to others, plus a bonus that I could use Nectar points to reduce the cost as well! The only thing I would say is the replacement filters are fairly costly but from what I can see, this is pretty standard.

It Stinks! Otherwise sows potential.
I bought one of these filters for my son as he chemical allergies and moderately severe asthma. Unfortunately the stench and off-gassing from the unit and its packaging meant he had to leave the room, go and lie down and treat his asthma. He will now not return to the room containing the 'air purifier' I have removed and disposed of the packaging and cleaned as much of the unit inside and out with diluted Isopropyl alchocol, [plain water didn't work, and the machine smells less pungent. We'll leave it on full power over night and see if it is useable in the morning. I think the problem is mainly in the plastic bags the unit and filters are sealed in. I would strongly suggest Philips investigate this issue as it defeats the object of an air purifier if it makes the environment toxic. I understand that the smell is likely to disipate over time however, my son is studying at university and had he unpacked the machine in his flat up there it would have been immediately re-packaged and returned as unusable ad he doesn't have a spare room to leave it in to de-fume. All this aside, it is very quiet, almost inaudible on it lowest setting, plus it seem easy to use although I haven't tried the app yet. Bt all this is unimportant if it doesn't improve the living environment. P.S. This was bought to replace a 10 year old Vax 300 which had none of these problems as it didn't smell.

Works well
Works very well and cleans air from particles. Can't comment on how effective it is against VOC as I don't have a means to measure them.
