Quiet and effective
Having just moved house temporarily for building works, I was shocked at the amount of dust that accumulates behind cupboards etc. and with two children with a lung condition I thought I was meticulously with my cleaning and I already had air filters, but they were old and obviously no longer up to the task - it’s not my level of cleaning that was faulty. I bought 3 of these Phillips to cover most of the house. I am impressed with the quietness of them and their ability to read the level of particles in the air and then reduce them to good quality. They are sensitive enough to react when windows are opened and when an aerosol has been sprayed, and then clean the air back to good quality. My children’s lungs are happier and I am expecting when we move back home not to discover hidden dust behind wardrobes and bookcases.

Not ideal for bedroom
Good size unit, easy to use controls and very quiet but i don't understand why in sleep mode there are still display lights on as these make it not suitable for a bedroom

Use this in the hall and we have both notice a difference to our health. We do not cough any more. It looks good and works well. The screen on top is a good idea and helps to see it's working.

Helps breathing and airways, freshens air.
Provides constant update of filtration by numbers, seems accurate, for example testing by opening a door or windows to let pollen into a room will see a quick increase in its filtration numbers. Can vary its power to meet needs, including a nightime setting in bedrooms. Quiet on low numbers, but even on higher revs acceptable. Air seems sharper and feeling less bunged up breathing through nose after running it for a short time.

I bought this 3 weeks ago for my son who suffers from allergies and hay-fever. This is the second one purchased. We've been using ours for 6 months. Ive noticed a huge reduction in anything affecting our allergies. Its very quiet throught the night. Its filtration and coverage are great. It seems to clear the particles in the air. Consequently our allergies have reduced and breathing improved. Less reliance on hay-fever meds.

Can’t use above low – irritates throat
I’ve been using the Philips Series 900 Air Purifier and I’m still deciding whether to keep it. It does improve the air, but I’ve noticed that anything above the lowest setting irritates the back of my throat. I get a blockage feeling and end up having to clear it, sometimes bringing up hard bits. Because of that, I can only use it on low when I’m in the room at the moment. I’m going to try it in different positions/rooms to see if that makes a difference, but if the issue continues I’ll have to return it.

I just bought this product and the model number is AC0920, AC0921. To my understanding he difference to the 950 and 951 products is the 3rd layer in the filter. 920 filter has two layers, HEPA and Pre, but no carbon. The 950 filter comes with all three layers, including carbon.

Let's go through the steps to clean the filter properly on the Philips Series 900 Air Purifier and address the cleaning symbol issue.
Turn off and unplug the air purifier.
Open the front cover and remove the pre-filter, carbon filter, and HEPA filter.
Clean the pre-filter:
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris.
You can also rinse it with water and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
Clean the carbon and HEPA filters:
Use a vacuum cleaner to gently clean both sides of the filters.
Do not use water or wet wipes on these filters.
Clean the air quality sensor:
Use a vacuum cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the sensor.

Resetting the Cleaning Symbol
