The Master Lock Water-Resistant Fireproof Safe Medium is a 7.8 ls hard plastic chest that handles 30 minutes of fire at 843C for your digital media - CDs, DVDs, memory sticks, USB drives - and the waterproof seal means it'll float if submerged. Grey, compact, with a carry handle so you can move it around easily.
The tubular key lock stops the lid from opening when exposed to heat. Hard plastic construction, 30 minutes of fire resistance, and 24-hour water protection for your documents, photos, jewellery or cash. Comes with the safe, two keys, and a carry handle built in. After-fire replacement warranty and 2 year manufacturer's guarantee included.

Not very safe
We bought this safe because it is water and fire proof, which we thought was brilliant for keeping all our documents safe. However, when we locked the safe and picked it up by the handle the safe opened without having to use a key. We tried it several times but to no avail the safe still sprung open when we picked it up by the handle without being opened with the key. We took the safe back and ordered the same square solid one we previously had at the last house.

Useful safe
Bought this to hold several important documents which would be irreplaceable in the event of fire. Good size for standard A4 items and a good depth. Would not recommend for high value items as security is obviously lacking (easily transported)

A Hefty Box
For the price, you get a really hefty box. As we’re not stashing the Crown Jewels, we’re happy in the knowledge that our important documents (& £10million we’re hiding from the inland revenue) will be safe should any catastrophic event happen in our vicinity. This is a very good buy when you need something a fair bit more reliable than a petty cash tin to keep your important stuff in.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Master Lock Water-Resistant Fireproof Safe Medium: The content should remain intact during the time it has been tested by UL / ETL and advised on the product. So if a product has been tested for 30 minutes, its content should remain intact during this period. Alternatively I would suggest a higher UL classified product from our range for a longer lasting period at high temperatures.

Master Lock fire resistant products contain insulation, which in turn, contains water crystals; thus the high content of moisture.
In addition, Master Lock fire and water resistant products close airtight to offer water resistance, which may also cause moisture to accumulate inside your safe.
We suggest that you open your product at least once every two weeks for approximately 20 minutes.
