Excellent camera
Bought this to keep an eye on the entrance to my elderly mother’s flat. Works brilliantly, I recommend installing an SD card to view recordings and if you are unable to plug it in anywhere the solar panel works great.

Easy installation
After 3 weeks of use and an easy installation. The camera was very well packed and after installation I found the picture quality to be of a very high standard. The camera is of great value and robust against the northern Ireland weather.

Works well, needs SD card which would be useful if included. Has good quality recording. Need to download Tapo app and configure it all which took me ages but I did it in the end (I'm not very technical)

Low battery life
Had to take it back as battery life not living up to what's claimed. Tapo say 300 days, after 7 days it was 60% so no way I was going to get 300 days. Of course they cover themselves by saying "up to" which could mean you could get one day! Also found the WiFi range very short, maybe as used to other cameras with aerials. Did like the mag mount though.

"The Tapo C425 features a 10000 mAh Built-in Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery. This means the battery is built into the camera and cannot be removed or swapped out.
You need to remove the entire camera and charge it using the included USB adapter cable
So unfortunately, you cannot swap batteries like ordinary rechargeable batteries. The entire camera unit needs to be charged
In addition to charging using a power adapter, you can use an optional solar panel (Tapo A200/A201/A202) for continuous charging without removing the camera.
The solar panel option allows you to keep the camera mounted and operational while it charges continuously."
