Longer or competitive battery life for handheld use Depending on the model and what game you’re running, the battery life is typically in the 3 to 7 hours range. For many handheld sessions (commutes, flights, breaks), that’s quite acceptable. In side-by-side tests, the Lite tends to last a bit more than the “original” Switch in pure handheld mode. 3. Durability & grip Because there’s no “play stand” or detachable parts, the body has less wiggle or flex. The finish is often praised as having a better matte grip than the original Switch, making it feel secure in hand. 4. Always ready for handheld mode You don’t need to attach or detach anything.
