About this product
This flatweave rug gives you a neutral base that works with whatever you've got going on. The cream shade fits into any room without clashing, whether that's the hallway, living room, or bedroom. It's 100% cotton with a flatweave construction, so it feels soft underfoot but stays practical for daily life. The lightweight design means you can shift it about when you're hoovering or swapping things around.

It's made in India and comes in at 60x90cm, which slots into smaller spaces or layers nicely with other pieces. To keep this secure on hard floors we also offer rug grips to keep in place, sold separately.

Good in the right area
Not exactly what I had in mind; it didn't look nice in the living room so it ended up at the foot of the bed replacing an old rug and it does look okay there where the dog beds go, so it protects that bit of carpet. I would say these rugs are good in small areas for carpet protectors (stick like glue to carpets) but as a focal point they look a bit bad in my opinion. Quite rough to walk on in bare feet. All in all I found a use for it, but I'm not sure it was worth the full price.

Soft mat
This was in the sale for £8, I wanted it to go in the bottom of a cupboard, it is soft and malleable so perfect for the job. I would say it is a mat rather than a rug.

Lovely rug
Lovely rug. Bought in the bigger size fits perfectly in my lounge. Great texture and colour adds that certain extra touch to make the lounge feel homely. Only trouble is my puppy spilled his water bowl all over it and although it stops the water soaking through to the carpet beneath, it doesn’t really dry out due to having the thick cotton going both ways. Would rather a thicker rug though just don’t spill on it! Hard wearing rug can be used for any room, value for money, would recommend.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Plain Grey Cotton Flatweave Rug - 120x170cm: Yes, the Argos Home Cotton flatweave rug is tested to BS: 4790: 1987- Method 1, in accordance with BS 5287: 1988.
There are no specific requirements for labelling rugs; but they do carry a standard warning to keep away from fire.

“ Yes the rugs ok to use on hard floors such as luxury vinyl, wood, organic planks, laminate etc but must use anti slip mat beneath the rug to prevent movements and for safety reasons. ”

No, these are not heat resistant, although these rugs have low radius of ignition. We do not recommend to stand a convection heater on it for a long duration as it may cause shade change and quality deteriorations due to the longer heat exposure.

They actually wash very well at 30 degrees - can end up a little curled at the edges but easy to flatten again. I have an elderly dog who tends to pee on rugs - these come up stain free with even just a quick wash. Heavy to dry, but that is the only downside.

This is not suitable for use on underfloor heating as there is possibility of colour transfer on the floor with prolonged use.
