Great Features but Connectivity Issues
Bought it a week ago. The bulb is good overall, you get multiple colours, brightness control, and the ability to control it through your phone, which is very convenient. However, it does occasionally disconnect, and then you have to set it up again in the app, which can be a bit annoying.

Excellent value for money
Great value for money. I currently have one within a lamp within my lounge and was looking for another in my bedroom. Easy to collect from my local Sainsbury’s and ordering was a breeze via the Argos app. Talking of apps, the Tapo app was easy to add the extra bulb into my Tapo ecosystem.

Tapo Coloured delight
Purchased colour version of the bulb as plan to use it in the hall where brightness is not a problem. It is compatible with my existing Tapo plugs, bulbs and power adapters via the Tapo interface and fully controlled via Alexa in a very efficient manner. Having the app on my mobile phone also provides full access to the bulbs features which is useful.

Superb Item.
Already have the tapo WiFi bulbs , they are so easy to set up and use hence bought more. I have trouble bending down so it's a godsend putting them on a timer schedule and being able to turn them on and off via the app.

The L530E does not have dedicated TV simulation or dynamic lighting effects. Specifically, this model does not offer "Effect Presets" or "Effect Adjustments," so there is no built-in mode to automatically simulate the random color flickering and brightness changes common on TV screens.
However, the L530E offers some security features that may still be useful:
• Away Mode: When enabled, the bulb randomly turns on and off, simulating a scene where someone is home, helping to deter potential intruders. This is currently the closest built-in security feature to a TV simulation effect.
• Timer On/Off: You can set the bulb to turn on or off at specific times, such as during typical evening TV viewing hours.
• Color Change: The bulb supports full-tone adjustment (via the Tapo app), allowing you to manually set it to a blue hue similar to the glow of a TV screen, and combine it with "Away Mode" for a more realistic effect.
• Automation: You can create automation rules to trigger light changes based on conditions such as time of day.

Hi,
Smart bulbs require a continuous power supply to enable smart control. If a smart bulb is installed in a location controlled by a regular switch, turning off the switch will cut power to the bulb, effectively shutting it down. This disconnects the bulb from the Wi-Fi network, causing it to go offline and making it impossible to manage through the app. Consequently, its smart features will not function.
