Customers Say
The fryer is praised for quick heating, good capacity for small families, easy cleaning, and producing crispy food. However, many users find the basket shallow, limiting food quantity and causing oil waste.

Fair price but an annoying capacity limitation
The basket lowering feature is much overhyped. Even with the oil at max. level, a good handfull of "chips" are covered by less than 1/2" of oil. This is a serious limitation to food capacity and also results in the discarding of additional oil when changing the frying medium. Better described as a "shallow fat fryer". Build quality, performance and maintenance are otherwise acceptable for an item in this price bracket. Maybe one day I will meet the guy responsible for designing this unnecessary rise and fall basket mechanism! Also, the green light going OUT when the oil is up to temperature seems illogical to me.

not good
the basket did not drop into the oil.

Poor design
An absolute waste of money when the basket is lowered into the oil it’s only possible to fry about 5 chips at a time the seat is at best very poor. If Russell Hobbs read this you should be issuing refunds to anyone that has had the misfortune to buy one.

Great size and good buy!
Purchased this deep fat fryer a few weeks ago and it has proved to be a good buy. The capacity is ideal for 2 people, it preheats within 10 minutes,is very easy to use and required temperature is very controllable. The handle is good and it folds away nicely when not in use. Food is quickly cooked and comes out evenly fried and crispy with good consistency.
