About this product
The Macadam Folding Chair gives you extra seating that doesn't take over your space when you're not using it. It's a modern take on a classic design from the 1970s, built from powder coated steel in a grey finish. The frame folds flat for tucking away in cupboards or under beds. Rubber feet keep it stable on hard floors and prevent marks on carpets. It'll hold up to 100kg, so it's solid enough for everyday use.
It's really lightweight at just 5kg, so you can carry it from room to room or even take it outside for a garden gathering. The metal seat and frame wipe clean with warm soapy water, so spills and marks come off quickly. Arrives fully assembled, so it's ready to use straight out of the box. The powder coated finish protects the steel from minor scratches and daily wear. Comes with a one-year guarantee.

Good chair bad colour
Although the actual chair was very sturdy and comfortable, the colour was awful. In the photo it looked a beautiful sunny yellow but when it came it was like a neon yellow.

Pleased with this purchase which is for extra emergency seating.. They fold quite flat to store. The red colour is not a pillar box red but slightly more orange. They are solid and well made, and stand stable. Heavier than l expected but easy to move around. They may be a bit hot to sit on if left outside in the sun! Possibly more comfortable with a seat pad? A good price and l used Nectar points to reduce the price as well.

These are really sturdy, heavy chairs which are comfortable to sit in - the back rest is at a good height and angle. I usually find folding chairs to be a bit flimsy and uncomfortable but these are brilliant. Bought as emergency chairs but rethinking this now! Amazing quality at a cheap price

However, it is not designed to be wall-mounted, and there are no built-in fixtures or brackets for hanging. If wall storage is preferred, it would require custom wall hooks or a rack suitable for its folded dimensions and weight (4.4 kg).

“ We don’t have a seat pad just for macadam, however I can see that all our seat pads are 40X40 which seems to be a standard and macadam is 47 wide and 50 deep. The legs are not that big so a 40X40 seat pad should fit. ”

IT IS NEVER SAFE TO STAND ON A FOLDING CHAIR, as they are NOT SECURE AND CAN EASILY FALL OVER OR BREAK AT THE HINGES, AS THEY ARE NOT DESIGNED TO BE STOOD ON! Stay safe!
