About this product
The Habitat Detachable Bunk Bed Frame provides flexible sleeping space that adapts as your kids grow. Its solid pine frame is sturdy enough for daily use and bouncing. The white painted finish stays fresh and suits most bedroom colours. It separates into two single beds when kids want their own space, so you won't need new furniture later. Reversible head and footboards let you choose a panelled or smooth finish. The ladder can be placed on either side to fit your room layout.
Wall-mounting brackets are included because this needs to be attached to the wall for safety, that's really important with bunk beds. The top bunk has safety rails at 32cm high to prevent falls during sleep. It's designed for ages six and over, with each bunk supporting up to 120kg. Wooden slats are included, so you just need mattresses that are no deeper than 16cm for the top bunk. When you split it into singles, both beds sit at the same height with 24cm space underneath. Two people are recommended for assembly, and there's a two-year guarantee included.

Sturdy, good quality bunk beds with versatile design that converts to singles. Assembly can be challenging and time-consuming; some report paint and finish issues. Comfortable and loved by children.

Great bed put paint peels off with sticker removal
A great sturdy item and looks great. Sadly has safety stickers on that pull off the paint upon removal (you would not want to keep them on due aesthetics). Also had flawed bit where paint had come off. Husband did nit notice and had to strip the bed down to hide it at the wall side. Please have removeable stickers!

Perfect bunk bed
Bought this for my children ages 7 and 4 and they love it! Bed is a great size in a small room with very limited space. Great finish and sturdy once built.

I liked it very much, the quality is worth the pri
I definitely don't think it's suitable for children over 10 years old. My children are young, so I'm quite happy with it for now.

Yes, this is correct.

Hello Ak,
I can advise the following for the Habitat Detachable Bunk Bed Frame - White:
Both beds are a single frame. This is a UK standard single size which is 90 cm wide and 190 cm long, 6.23' long and 2.95' wide. Rounded up this would be 6.3' and 3'.

Hello Trisha,
Habitat Detachable Bunk Bed Frame - White
For the two single beds , one end of the upper bunk (assembled parts 4 , 5, 7 and 11 ) should be swapped over with the lower bunk (assembled parts 4 , 5 , 7 and 9). To remove the ladder, the ladderside Part 12 needs to be removed. Full instructions can be found here: https://argos-support.co.uk/1649855-habitat-d...
Thanks for using Q&A
Hello there. I have taken a look at the building instructions for the Habitat Detachable Bunk Bed Frame. The length of the side measures 186cm and the width of the frame measures 87.7cm. As long as the top bunk mattress is no deeper than 16cm, the mattresses that you have there will fit with room to add bed linen etc. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Q and A.
Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Habitat Detachable Bunk Bed Frame - White: No, its unfortunately not possible to keep the guard rails in one of the beds, when made into two identical single beds as below.
The safety guards in the front of the bunk bed, must have the ladder mounted in one end of the front safety gaurds as well for stability / strength. Not possible to have the ladder on one of the single beds.
