About this product
Solid pine and designed to last, this detachable bunk bed is a sturdy and versatile choice your kids will love. It separates into 2 single beds so it's great for when your kids want a space of their own. In a simple and timeless style, this painted version has reversible head and footboards, so you can choose either a panelled effect or smooth. As singles, the ground clearance is identical on both beds so they'll be the same height side by side.
To split the bunk into 2 single beds, you will need to do a spot of reassembly, moving the longer legs to the headboards to make both beds the same height. Just follow the step-by-step instructions. Need mattresses? We know that getting good quality sleep is really important for keeping children healthy and happy. So take a look at our range of mattresses to find the best ones for your children. Just make sure they're no deeper than 16cms, for safety's sake.

Great option
My kids loved it and it is a great bunker bed. The option of using it as separate single beds is an added advantage.

You can sleep on it

Fantastic Bunk bed.
I bought this for my two daughters aged 9 and 7. This bed is a perfect size and works really well in their small bedroom. It's a lovely full size single bunk bed but with limited space in their bedroom this bed helped us to maximise room in the bedroom without loosing out on style and quality :-)

Very clear assembly instructions
We were surprised that the bunk beds came as just a pile of timber but assembly was straightforward resulting in 2 good solid beds on top of each other.

Not bad
A great bunk bed now it’s up and serves my two daughters perfectly, but was an absolute nightmare to put together!

Easy to build
My kids have been using this for nearly a month now and they love it. Very easy to build. Good quality too

It's ok but definitely cheap and basic materials
I bought two of these bunk beds a few weeks ago as I have 4 children and both sets had some build issues where the top rails had splinters in the wood and scratches down some of the end panels. When built it creaks with movement and the ladders hurts the children's feet as they are on the thin end rather than the flat side, bad design flaw in my opinion. I did complain to Argos and they dealt with the damaged parts so I've kept them but I can't see them lasting long term and I wouldn't recommend for the teenage years

Lovely bunk beds
Happy with the beds so far. Look great. 4 stars as there were a few scratch like marks. They are painted over so not to noticeable.

Great set of bunk beds, Easy to assemble.

Really impressed with the quality and value
Unbeatable value (purchased in sale). We had to get new mattresses, duvets, and bedding for both our girls. Spent more on the bedding than the bunk bed itself. Took a good 4-6 hours to put everything together. Can’t fault the instructions, no issues. I did use an electric screwdriver, should be fine if you’re careful. Girls love it.

Hello Trisha,
Habitat Detachable Bunk Bed Frame - White
For the two single beds , one end of the upper bunk (assembled parts 4 , 5, 7 and 11 ) should be swapped over with the lower bunk (assembled parts 4 , 5 , 7 and 9). To remove the ladder, the ladderside Part 12 needs to be removed. Full instructions can be found here: https://argos-support.co.uk/1649855-habitat-d...
Thanks for using Q&A
Hello there. I have taken a look at the building instructions for the Habitat Detachable Bunk Bed Frame. The length of the side measures 186cm and the width of the frame measures 87.7cm. As long as the top bunk mattress is no deeper than 16cm, the mattresses that you have there will fit with room to add bed linen etc. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Q and A.
Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Habitat Detachable Bunk Bed Frame - White: No, its unfortunately not possible to keep the guard rails in one of the beds, when made into two identical single beds as below.
The safety guards in the front of the bunk bed, must have the ladder mounted in one end of the front safety gaurds as well for stability / strength. Not possible to have the ladder on one of the single beds.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hi Penny,
Yes, the Habitat Detachable Bunk Bed Frame does come with screw caps.

Hello Say,
The supplier has advised the following for the Detachable Bunk Bed Frame - White:
“ The treads are 20mm deep on the detachable bunk bed.
They have a R18 on the edge, so it is soft for the kids to step on/will follow the curve under the foot. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
