About this product
Solid pine and designed to last, this detachable bunk bed is a sturdy and versatile choice your kids will love. It separates into 2 single beds so it's great for when your kids want a space of their own. In a simple and timeless style, this painted version has reversible head and footboards, so you can choose either a panelled effect or smooth. As singles, the ground clearance is identical on both beds so they'll be the same height side by side.
To split the bunk into 2 single beds, you will need to do a spot of reassembly, moving the longer legs to the headboards to make both beds the same height. Just follow the step-by-step instructions. Need mattresses? We know that getting good quality sleep is really important for keeping children healthy and happy. So take a look at our range of mattresses to find the best ones for your children. Just make sure they're no deeper than 16cms, for safety's sake.

Lovely beds for our 3 year old twins. Should last them for a good few years. Have them detached atm.
Bought for our 8 year old and 4 year old grandsons to use and they were very happy. Relatively easy to assemble even in a limited space. Small criticism is that the plastic 'hole fillers ' are not quite the right size. Otherwise, very happy and would recommend them.
Perfect! arrived on time, no problem. Easy to assemble.
The gap between the top and bottom bunk is 81.1cm without a mattress.
Considering the average mattress used on the beds will be approximately 16 cm the space between the top bunk and the bottom mattress will be approximately 65.1cm.

Yes, you could remove the ladder by undoing the attachment fixings. Then fixing back into position when required.
I hope this helps.

Would be awkward to remove but not impossible.

Having spoken with our supplier regarding the weight its no problem – an adult or child can sleep on a upper or lower bunk as they are produced to the same standards as adult beds.
Our only reservation regarding the top bunk is the EN747 rules state that a child must be 6 years to sleep on the upper bunk – this is purely for safety and only you know the development of your child.
I hope this helps.
