I bought this after using other brands and I must say that I felt as though my carpet was not as bad as I feared I used a vax carpet cleaner and the colour of the water said it all it was a lot dirtier than with other brands a gorgeous faint pleasant clean smell like a carpet should smell, it was all the same colour so it had removed stains marks that looked like colouration faults but it wasnt , my carpet was cleaner than it had been in months hense 5 stars .

Vax Ultra+ Pet Carpet Cleaning Solution 1.5L:
This solution is designed specifically for use with Vax carpet washers and is not suitable for cleaning stone floors.
If you don’t have a Vax carpet washer, you can use a diluted amount for hand‑cleaning carpets or rugs, but avoid using it on stone surfaces and be careful not to over‑wet the carpet when applying it from a bucket.

“ I can advise that the Ultra+ solution is a deeper clean, and is essentially designed especially to deep clean the carpet if there are pet messes etc, it goes to the root of the carpet ensuring there are no lingering smells and ensures it is perfectly clean. ”

This would depend on the size of the house. Having checked I can see this bottle will do 37 litres once diluted.
