Bought a a couple of weeks ago , had one in bedroom, got this one for the lounge very impressed, sound quality from Jbl is second to none . I also have the 710 Bluetooth speaker.

Hugely overpriced and annoying features

The sound quality is great, sub woofer also good quality. However the size of the stereo and subwoofer are very large, so take this into consideration as we had to lift our TV up slightly higher. Also the surround sound only works when we use the speakers on opposite sides. Left speaker only works when we put it on the right side of the room, and vice versa - this wasn't explained anywhere so it took a lot of experimenting to work out. The detachable speakers only have 3 volume settings, low/mid/high which isn't variable at all given the price range. Even on High the main speaker sometimed drowns them out. The screen on the main speaker constantly says Dolby Surround whenever we navigate around TV apps when previews of TV shows/films play which is visually very annoying! Overall very disappointed considering the price tag and will replace with a different brand in the future as unfortunately noticed these issues after the month's warranty.

Good soundbar, poor remote

Good sound but limited equaliser options for the price. The remote is very poor, slow to respond and there are at least 3 'hidden' functions that you have to press 2 buttons in sequence to switch on and off: Purevoice, Smart Sound and Night mode you need several goes to work them. You also can't change the default settings for these options. Very poor for a unit in this price range. There is an app you can Install that works much better (this is where you find the equaliser) but still had the multi button issue, I have fed back to JBL, you would think it would be relatively easy to at least modify the app if not the physical al remote.

Amazing sound

Great features. Atmos works brilliantly

Bought this a month ago and very impressed. You do need to have the bass box on if just watching normal tv programmes with it, as it looses the bass a bit. For films that produce sound using Dolby Atmos, the sound is spectacular.

I have been using this product for about a month and it has become a great addition to my tv set up. The sound bar is perfect for all users, for those wanting it to simply enhance the sound of their TV and for those wanting to use it for a full on surround sound system. It is very easy to set up and to use once it has been installed.

I am, and have always been, a lover of sound. My first JBL product was the JBL Charge 4 which was mind-blowingly powerful sound and enduring battery life from such a portable speaker. I did not think it could get much better than that until I tried the JBL Bar 800. If you love sound like me, you will not regret this purchase. Is it expensive? Yes. But is it worth every single penny? A thousand times, yes! Positives: -This thing is LOUD. My neighbours probably hate me, and I love that. -On the other end of the spectrum, the sound quality at its lowest is fantastic! This is my first time seeing a device perform so well at low volume, and the level to which it can go low is astonishing considering how loud it is also able to perform -The "360" feature of this system with the side speakers is incredible to be in the midst of, but also has surprising benefits, one being when using the speakers at low volume. I don't live alone so I can't have the music loud most of the time (I also don't want it loud all the time) and the fact that the side speakers also play music means that I can move around my room and still hear the music at the same level despite being further from the main bar. -The UI and UX of the app are unlike other brand apps, it is quite simple and satisfying to use. The remote control feature on the app is very useful because I can't always be bothered to get up and get the remote! -Music app connectivity is amazing. I use Spotify and I can play music from the speakers even when it is not switched on, simply by selecting the speakers in the app. Nifty! Negatives: -Setup was much more time-consuming than I am used to, but considering that this is a beast of a machine it also makes sense that it won't be that quick. The steps were easy enough to follow, but things like connecting to the speakers through the app, especially calibration, took a long time. -While I haven't measured exactly, the side speakers probably last around two days on one charge. That's not bad, but I listen to music every day so it can be a bit annoying having to attach them back to the main bar to charge. This would probably be less annoying if I put them back on the main bar after using them, but I can't be bothered
