Good quality tank, exceptional value for money
An excellent quality tank for the money, providing great fish capacity for small species or a couple of large goldfish. It's a good shape, balancing height and width, for those who don't have a specialist cabinet or stand. The hang-on-back filter is quiet and gives adequate flow. So far the proprietary filter inserts are keeping the water exceptionally clear. Note that you'll want to change these every month or so as the activated carbon gets used up, meaning the bacterial colony will need to regrow each time. The heater is preset to keep the water at about 21c - for many tropical species you will need additional heating. The supplied light is great with a rubber fitting to the hood that lets you turn it to fine tune the lighting level, and there is a night-time blue light setting. You'll probably want to add an air pump and stone to increase the gas exchange but that aside, a great set up for beginners or if you're wanting another tank. I took the photo whilst still setting up plants etc but it gives an idea of scale, i.e that's a large female guppy top middle.

Excellent purchase
This is a very impressive tank, lighting is changeable, which gives off a lovely blue glow, the filtration system is strong, it has a large capacity and looks smart. All in all a great purchase.

Good tank ,but needs but filter.
Already have a smaller one of these tanks,just upgrading. Only thing that lets it down is the filter system, ok if your just a novice,but I want something I can adjust to the needs of my fish. So will replace this filter with either a outside one of a while it be Well one. Lighting works well, not to bright so not a lot of algae growth, or though I still have to limit the amount per day.using it for cold water fish so heater not that necessary.

Perfect starter
Great starter tank at a very good price. I already have 2 large aquariums by higher end companies, but would recommend this one to anyone starting out, as it's got everything you need included. We're using it as a terrarium for a giant African land snail, and the lighting system is just right for plant growth.

Set this tank up a couple of weeks ago, very happy with it so far. Decided to upgrade the filter to something a bit more powerful and add an air stone. Lights nice and bright, white and blue light options. Great value for money.

After checking this for you it is recommended that the MINIMUM tank size for a single adult axolotl is 10 gallons or 45.5 litres. It must be 20-25 inches (51-64 cm) long, 10 inches (25.4 cm) wide and deep.
If you intend to use the tank only for the axolotl then yes, this will be suitable.

"I can confirm that this is not suitable for a Terrapin. these turtles need an area to haul out of the water to bask. The filter supplied in these tanks needs to be filled near the top of the tank."

To check if the heater in your Tetra Starter Line 105L LED Fish Tank is working, look for the LED indicator on the heater. When the heater is switched on, the LED on the glass tube will light up.
