Got this to replace a smaller tank, we have already a bigger version of this tank with bigger fish in so we knew that we would get an excellent product and that has proven to be the case, looks good and performs as expected and the fish look far happier with the greater room provided

I bought a new fish tank because my original was old and leakimg. The tank I chose is the Tetra Starter Line 54L and it has proved to be a good choice. Everything was easily assembled and the instructions easy to understand. Everything works efficiently and the water looks very clear. The new tank is marginally smaller than my original but 54L is adequate for my needs and it looks modern and streamlined.

Good starter tank
Needed a smallish tank to rescue some fish after their owner passed away but couldn't take the full size aquarium he had. This is an ideal size with heater, filter pump and lighting. The beauty of to he lighting is that it has 2 different settings. One gives full bright light and the other a mellow light perfect for evenings. The fish are settled nicely.

Tetra Starter Tank 54L
I bought this at Christmas for a replacement. Downfalls for me - I had to change the heater, it wasn't getting anywhere near the temperature stated - you can't change the temperature either, but even after a couple of days, it just wasn't heating, I liked the way the heater fitted in the filter box as it made it very tidy - I even took it out of the filter box to see if it would help get to the temperature, but it didn't. The filter seems ok - just now a rather big chunk in the tank. My biggest gripe is the lid isn't hinged - so yes you can drop the food in - through the feed hole - but everything just falls in the one place - not ideal. So back to my gripe - if you need to remove the lid - to change filter or move anything - you need to remove the lid - and even with the best will in the world it gets messy, as it won't lean against a wall and then there is water everywhere, as it won't prop on itself even - to let any water run back into the tank.
