Customers Say
Effective, easy-to-use steamer that heats quickly and removes creases well, especially on light fabrics and curtains. Some find it heavy and water tank small; not as powerful as an iron for heavy creases.

Fab. Love it.
I’ve never used a steamer before and hate ironing. I’m keeping this in the bedroom so I can use it on clothes that might come out of the wardrobe wrinkly. Brilliant on linen or when you don’t want iron tracks.

It works!
I bought this after having returned a different one that just didn’t work. Pleased to report that this actually works, steam comes out and clothes are wrinkle- free I didn’t consider previously because I though it looked a bit odd but it’s great that it folds over and I keep it in a cupboard so who cares what it looks like.

Hello Lilo,
The supplier has advised the following for the Russell Hobbs Steam Genie Essential 25591 Garment Steamer:
“ The Steam Genie Essentials 25591 can be used for freshening up the hard-to-wash items like rugs, curtains and pet beds but will not clean it. It will kill the bacteria but not clean stains. Additionally, please carefully read the User Manual and the Label on the mattress or such item before using the Steamer for such purpose.
If the mattress has the "do not steam" icon on it, the item should not be used on that fabric. ”

Hi Gaz,
The Russell Hobbs Steam Genie Essential 25591 Garment Steamer can be quicker than ironing. Here are some key points:
Heat-up Time: The steamer heats up in just 45 seconds, whereas an iron typically takes a few minutes to reach the desired temperature.
Ease of Use: With no need for an ironing board, you can start steaming clothes directly on the hanger, which can save setup time.
Efficiency: For quick de-wrinkling, the steamer can be faster, especially for items like shirts, blouses, and dresses. It provides up to 10 minutes of continuous steam.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A

I would say it would make a difference but probably not 100% crease free :) It seems to work best with light, natural fabrics such as linens and cottons.
