Not useful features
The extra features advertised are not useful. The extension cable makes the unit too heavy to use for too long. The anti allergy unit sucks the floor so hard that it can’t be moved. The normal parts are also hard to move with the full suction and too weak to remove any dust when suction is reduced. Disappointing from the masters of hoovering. It’s small and very light, also very quiet.

Decent vacuum, does the job
I've had this vacuum cleaner for about half a year now. It's well made, hasn't lost any suction power, and cleans the carpets in the house well. The standard head attachment allows you to change suction strength which is useful for things like rugs where it'd just be pulled up if you had full power on. It's noisy but only as noisy as any other vacuum cleaner you'll find.

Badly designed
The main brush just seemed to push dirt around despite initally good suction. The smaller head with the rotating brushes was better but this was fixed and I had to stoop to gain good angle. The cylinder very quickly filled and the suction diminished accordingly and didn't seem to return after emptyting the cylinder. I contacted the appliance line to check I could get a refund. I asked them if they wanted to know the reason and told them it was a poor design. He seemed unbothered said they all had design faults and I should have bought a dyson! Took it back to the store that day. Wish I had noted Rik's comments from 8th Jan 25 completely agree. Not impressed!

Could do better
This is the second one that I have had of this hoover. The first one has to be taken back after one days use when the strip of felt on the main attachment came off. However, since I have used the replacement there have been no problems.

The Hoover H-POWER 300 Pets Corded Bagless Cylinder Cleaner, does not have a variable suction. It has an on/off function. On the handle you can open a slider that will reduce the suction if needed.
