Well Designed
The weight of the spade was good, not to heavy but sturdy enough to do the job. It has a good grip which is comfortable so you can get a decent leverage. Good quality and it should last a decent time.

Great value and quality
I bought this and only picked it up on my way into hospital for a CT scan, bit odd walking through the hospital with a spade lol. But I left it with the lady at reception, and she was well impressed with it and the price I paid £11.44. Today I used it and as a spade goes it's brilliant!!! Not to mention impressing the ladies with my Spade lol.

Hello Gary.
The supplier has advised the following for the McGregor Carbon Steel Digging Spade
Steps to Adjust the Telescopic Handle
Locate the Adjustment Mechanism
The spade has a telescopic fibreglass shaft that slides within itself. Look for a collar, twist lock, or push-button mechanism on the handle that allows the inner shaft to move (varies slightly by model but designed for easy extension
Extend or Shorten the Handle
Loosen the locking mechanism (twist or press the button)
Pull the shaft outward to lengthen or push it inward to shorten
Adjust until it feels comfortable for your height and digging posture. A general guideline is to set the handle so that when the spade blade touches the ground, your back remains as straight as possible to minimize strain.
Secure the Handle
Once the desired length is set, lock the mechanism securely. Make sure the handle does not move when applying pressure while digging.
