The Ingress Protection for this heater is IP34 meaning that it has a good level of protection against water, but it is not fully waterproof or designed to withstand heavy rain.
This being the case we would advise a waterproof cover.

“ I have checked with our head office and this particular product can be used with an extension lead providing the recommendations below are considered.
• We suggest extension lead no more than 10 meters
• Standard of extension cord needs to be H05RN-F 3G 1,0 mm2
• Main plug spec no less than 250 V~ 13 A,2P+E
• We recommend not to use a reeled cord. ”

Hi Tiarmarie. Assuming you pay the current UK average of 33p per kW unit, then the 650W setting would cost 21.5p an hour. The 1300W setting would cost 43p an hour. And the 2000W would cost 66p.
