A lovely smart kettle
A lovely looking kettle which pours really well. The features are also very good. My 4 stars are because the kettle is quite loud and I was hoping for a quiet kettle.

Poor coating adhesion on black model.
This is the second kettle I have had (second one was a warranty replacement for the original). The original lost areas of coating. The replacement has similar problem but in a different after only around 6 months. This time the coating loss is close to the spout/filler lid rim so I'm not keen on possibly ingesting. I'm toldtThe warranty is now out (on the original, but Ninja appear to be counting the replacement as covered within that warranty). Ok, it boils water quickly, but looks tatty quite quickly also. I'd not buy another one.

Really good but room for improvement.
Well made, clear dials and easy to use. We like the fact you can buy just the kettle without a base if needed and the noise level is acceptable however we’re not so impressed buy the water level indicator it is hard to read and slow to show how much water will be heated.

Yes, the kettle will produce steam during use, which is completely normal and shows it’s working correctly. For safety, use the handle and avoid placing your hands or face near the spout while it’s heating.
The frequency in which the filter needs to be changed in a hard-water area also depends on the water hardness in your current area, which makes an exact estimate hard to provide. We recommend running regular descaling sessions to ensure the proper functionality of your kettle. Please consult the instructions manual for appropriate descaling instructions. The filters of this kettle are priced at £4.99 and can be purchased directly from the NinjaKitchen website.

To pour tea, coffee, or chocolate into the cup, the kettle needs to be tilted slightly without being turned completely around.

Having checked I can see if 100°C Boil is selected the temperature will hold at 93°C for up to 30 minutes.
