BG Ceiling Rose with BC Light Bulb Fitting: ''Their 4cm diameter (40mm) shade ring is 1/3 too big for the standard 3cm (30mm) lamp holder skirt on the pendant they're looking at. However we do sell the 666ES13W and 666ES18W have a 40mm skirt.

How can this not be suitable for dimmable bulbs when it is just a normal b22, i.e. 7 eighths or 22mm bayonet cap lamp pendant, which is the simplest, most straightforward and commonestplace light fixture in British buildings?
