Fixing flush to wall difficult
For the low price I can't complain about the overall quality, but the pre-drilled holes through the brackets are at angle which means the screws don't fit straight into the holes drilled in the walls for them, so it's nigh-on impossible to fit them flush to the wall.

The supplier has advised the following for the Grey Wooden Fixed Curtain Pole - 240cm:
No, you cannot do this. This product consists of two 120cm long poles and these are connected by a joining screw. Because of this, you do need to use the centre bracket, otherwise the connecting joining screw is not strong enough to hold the curtain weight.

Hi there
This pole comes with a centre bracket so the pole is well supported. In this instance the pole should be suitable for curtains up to 5KG, however it is the quality of the wall fixing that will determine the maximum weight. The fixings supplied are for solid walls only. If you are fixing to plasterboard or other wall types then suitable fixings must be used.

Whilst it is possible to cut this curtain pole down to size, I must caution that once amended, the warranty will be void, so please measure carefully before cutting.
