Very happy indeed with this purchase 👍
Purchased this item a couple of weeks ago. It has transformed our patchy home (4 bed over 3 floors) WiFi connectivity into a super strong WiFi mesh with no weak areas. Easy to set up with great speeds being achieved- and to date we have had no outages. Very happy indeed with this purchase 👍

Solid wi-fi now but setting up took some effort
Overall, I’m very happy that I bought this mesh networking kit. It has provided wi-fi throughout the house and garden and has been reliable. It’s better than anything else I’ve tried. I live in a Victorian terraced house which is long with thick walls. Things to bear in mind before buying are: thick brick walls are a challenge for wi-fi so it’s not a magic solution. The kit creates a separate wi-fi network in addition to the one created by your broadband supplier’s router. I spent an afternoon switching products (eg Sonos) to the new network. For most UK users, the “out of the box” instructions are misleading. One Deco unit needs to be installed next to your broadband supplier’s router and connected to it by an Ethernet cable. I found that Deco mesh network very slow to access the internet. I reset it as an AP (access point) and internet access is as fast as using my broadband supplier’s network. In summary, it works well but setting up was more complicated than the marketing suggested !

Highly delighted
Been using this new router set up for three weeks now. Very impressed with its functionality, it’s brought me into the 21st centur!. My speeds are so much faster and do not have any hidden dark corners in my house where the signal is not available. All my Bluetooth and Wi-Fi compatible items connect easily making it simple to use

Easy to set up and app very user friendly. I purchased a set of 3 but had to purchase a further single node to achieve full coverage of my property

Hello jkksanders,
The supplier has advised the following for the TP-Link Deco X50 AX3000 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System 3 Pack:
"Here’s the clear answer regarding the TP-Link Deco X50 (3-Pack) system:
They Connect Wirelessly or via Ethernet (Ethernet Backhaul):
The Deco X50 units can connect to each other wirelessly to form a mesh network. However, you can also connect them together using Ethernet cables (this is called Ethernet backhaul) for better performance and stability if desired.
One Unit Acts as the Main Router:
You select one Deco unit to act as the main router (this must be connected via Ethernet to your modem or internet source).
The other two Deco units automatically become satellite nodes/extenders and can connect either wirelessly or through Ethernet.
Flexibility:
They do not need to be wired to the main Deco router unless you want to use Ethernet backhaul for faster speeds or better stability in difficult environments. Many users run them fully wirelessly."
Thank you for using Q&A.
