Does what it says.
We've only had this for about a fortnight. It's great for drying clothes, and we've also used it to humidify, seeing it up in the corridor of our three bed bungalow. So happy with it so far.

Fantastic clothes drier
We bought this after a bit of research. We have a small ‘pantry’ cupboard that we have turned into a drying room (put up a clothes rail) and we use this to dry the clothes. It’s a very cold room and the Meaco works brilliantly. Clothes are dried quickly and it holds a lot of water in the tank so you can do a few loads before emptying. It’s a real game changer. Barely shows up on the electric meter and is quiet and efficient. So much better than a tumble drier. The clothes even smell fresher. Great.

Great product
I have a 2 bedroom flat that was always damp. This has completely changed things. I sleep better and nothing feels damp any more. I was reluctant to spend so much but wish I had got it sooner. Really impressed. I like the wheels. It's tall rather wide so doesn't take up much room. The wheels are useful for moving room to room. I like the humidity reading at the top. The part that holds the water is easy to take out and empty. Also good that it has the air purifier too.

Absolute game changer especially if you have an older property. Keeps your rooms, moisture and damp free. The clothes drying setting is absolutely fab if you don’t like washing all over your house and on radiators ! Economic to run and quite. An investment but worth it 😀😀😀

Meaco Dry Arete One 20 Litre Dehumidifier:
Having checked the instructions, they advise:
The dust filter is a life-long filter and therefore should not need to be replaced (other than for wear and
tear reasons). When used regularly, the filter may become clogged with dust and dirt particles. The
filter must be cleaned a minimum of every two weeks.
1. Remove the dust filter from the dehumidifier by sliding the filter case to the left, away from the
dehumidifier. The dust filter is built into the filter case and cannot be removed – you may have
to remove the HEPA filter to access the dust filter.
2. Clean the dust filter with the end of a hoover or soapy water no hotter than 40°C. Rinse and
dry completely before inserting back into the dehumidifier.
The HEPA filter is optional and the dehumidifier can be used without this fitted. The HEPA filter is not life-long and must be replaced when the colour changes from white to
grey (it depends on the environment the dehumidifier is being used in but the HEPA filter will
need replacing roughly every 3 months). It can be hoovered every so often to remove dust or dirt.

“ Yes, you can use a mild disinfectant to clean the water tank. Just make sure to choose a mild, non-toxic disinfectant that’s safe for plastic i.e. dish soap. Avoid strong chemicals like bleach, as they can damage the plastic or leave a bad smell. ”
