Could not open the cover for filling. Stuck fast.
Had to return it as the cover of the filling hole was very difficult to open even for my husband. May have been that particular iron, didn’t use it. Other than that it looked to be a good light weight iron.

Having checked I can see I can see the manual advises: To reduce limescale damage we recommend using deionised, distilled or demineralised water, available at most large supermarkets. This is particularly important if you live in a hard water area.

Hi, yes you do use the cover at the top to fill, It is tight on first use but will be easier once opened.

Please note the self-clean is incorporated into the variable steam slider switch and is the OPPOSITE side to MAX.
To self-clean, please PUSH and HOLD the steam switch slider all the way to the LHS. When finished self cleaning, the switch will spring back to the “O” position when let go. - Morphy Richards
