Excellent
Easy to set up and works a treat. Good night vision for inside however if you aim the camera through a window you may get the cameras reflection in the image. The field of view is excellent and I would recommend this product not only for its quality but for its very reasonable price.

An excellent value indoor camera with activity notification. I have these indoor to monitor my dogs and also have one covering my driveway which can capture movement through a window. For the price they’re excellent!

Great for what you pay
I bought this camera a few months ago and it’s worked great! You can pay £2.99 a month to have access to all the precious footage and you can set up frames to only capture detection in a certain area of the cameras view. It also had nightvision! Overall amazing for what you pay!

Hello There.
Tapo C100 1080P Wi-Fi Indoor Security Camera
The “wireless” part only refers to the Wi‑Fi connection, not the power source. The Tapo C100 does NOT have a built‑in battery.
It must be plugged into a power socket at all times using the included adapter and cable.
Thank you for using Q & A.
Hi,
Tapo C200 needs plugging in once mounted.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi,
Yes, after configuration, you can set Person Detection or Motion Detection, and you will receive corresponding notifications. Please note that the Tapo camera requires a stable network connection so you can check the camera anytime, anywhere, even when you're out and about.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi,
The Tapo C100's power source is a 9V DC power adapter.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi,
For camera live view, once the camera is set up in the Tapo app and connected to the internet, you can watch it for free (no extra cost).
For camera playback, there are two recording types:
1. Tapo Care Cloud Recordings: Each Tapo Camera offers a one-time 30-day free trial of Tapo Care (starts when enabled in the app), which provides 30-day cloud video history and advanced features. After the trial, a Tapo Care subscription is required for 7- or 30-day cloud-stored detection recordings. More details about Tapo Care, visit: https://www.tp-link.com/tapocare/...
2. SD Card Recordings: An SD card is needed to access continuous or motion-triggered recordings (based on your Recording Schedule). To check which SD card is compatible with your camera, visit: https://www.tapo.com/faq/111/...
Thanks for using Q&A.
I have done this and it works perfectly you just need to take the white light off then it does not reflect.
Hi,
We do not recommend pointing the camera at glass, windows, lights, or any reflective objects, as this will affect the camera's image clarity and detection performance.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi,
Simultaneous Viewer Limits:
• Remote Viewing: Up to 6 different accounts can watch live video simultaneously. There is no limit to the number of devices if the same account is used on multiple devices.
• Local Viewing: Up to 3 devices can watch live video simultaneously. (Note: Connections via ONVIF or RTSP also count towards this limit.)
• SD Card Playback: Only one account/device can access recordings on the SD card at a time via the Tapo app.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi,
Please refer to the following scenarios for device/account limits when viewing the Tapo Camera:
1. Remote Viewing: Up to 6 different accounts can stream the live view simultaneously. With the same account, there’s no limit on the number of devices.
2. Local Viewing: Up to 3 devices can stream the live view at once. Connections via ONVIF or RTSP also count toward this limit.
3. SD Card Playback (remote or local): Only one account/device can access SD card recordings at a time via the Tapo App.
4. Shared accounts can access camera live view and SD card recordings, but not cloud recordings.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi,
The Tapo C100 supports Tabletop mounting and Ceiling-Mounted mounting.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Andy,
The Tapo C100 1080P Wi-Fi Indoor Security Camera does record sound.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hi Lili,
Theoretically, it is possible, but we do not recommend doing so. The Tapo C100 does not support direct insertion of a SIM card, but you can set up your phone as a hotspot to create a Wi-Fi network for the camera to connect to. However, please note the following:
• Your mobile hotspot must broadcast a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and use WPA/WPA2-PSK encryption for the camera to connect successfully.
• We do not recommend using a mobile hotspot as a long-term solution, as the stability of mobile data connections is generally not as good as regular Wi-Fi, which may affect the camera's performance and reliability.
If you are in an area without a stable Wi-Fi connection and need a more durable solution, you might consider using Tapo cameras, which natively support 4G LTE via SIM card, such as the Tapo C615G KIT or Tapo C501GW.
Thanks for using Q&A.
